Visitors to this year’s East Midlands Food Festival can feast on amazing flavours from around the world, from traditional local produce including Melton Mowbray Pork Pies, Stilton cheese and beer brewed by Trappist Monks in Leicestershire, to global cuisines from Greece, India, South America, the Caribbean, South Asia and the Philippines.
The East Midlands Food Festival returns for the 15thyear from 6-7 October 2018, with around 200 stands showcasing the best food and drink from the East Midlands and beyond. There’s also the best gin, rum, vodka and whisky produced within 100 miles of Melton Mowbray.
Chefs such as Rachel Green will be cooking up live demonstrations in the Food Theatre and the ‘Cooking Maharaja’ will also be offering flavours of the East. Leicester’s award-winning De Montfort University Gospel Choir and the Melstrum Ukulele Band will be providing entertainment. There is also a Kids Zone with plenty of activities to entertain and educate children about food.
