Warm, buttery hot cross buns, chocolate eggs, Lindt bunnies…the Easter season is filled with sweet treats. This year, why not try your hand at creating some? Master bakers Bread Ahead are hosting a number of half-day Easter baking workshops this April, where you’ll learn how to make spiced cookies, orange amaretti biscuits and hot cross buns. Don’t worry if you’re not a baking pro already: the class is suitable for all levels of experience.
Since being founded by Matthew Jones in 2013, Bread Ahead has risen (excuse the pun) to success, drawing in legions of fans from all over town. In 2014 they opened a bakery school at the original Borough Market branch, followed by a second bakery and cafe in Soho’s Beak Street. Workshops and classes run throughout the year at both locations, offering insight into artisan baking, and the chance to learn how to create some of their best creations – including their legendary doughnuts.
Workshops take place at both the Borough Market and Pavilion Road branches of Bread Ahead
19 and 20 April, workshops run from 10am-1pm, and 2-5pm
