Jupiter Artland is celebrating its 10th anniversary with its most innovative Jupiter Campout thus far. ROMANTI-CRASH promises an overnight sleepover across Jupiter Artland sculpture park where the programme of art and live music tackles matrimony’s evolving nature through sound, installation, performance and discussion. Deconstructing the format of a wedding day,
performance and music will take place on three stages located across Jupiter Artland sculpture park from 3pm until the early hours.

The line-up includes Martin Creed, the Turner-Prize winning artist, known for his catchy, folk-pop tunes as well artworks such as Scotsman Steps (2010) and Everything is Going To Be Alright (1999) and The Fish Police, whose uplifting left-field music is heavily influenced by musicians’ Dean Rodney and Matt Howe’s experience of autism and their inspirational view of the world.

A key player in Manchester’s underground scene since 1980s, Paddy Steer will bring his joyful, ramshackle and DIY electronic performance to ROMANTI-CRASH! and Glaswegian favourite Apostille will bring floor-filling tunes. A collaboration between electronic music producer Dan Hayhurst and visual artist Reuben Sutherland, Sculpture provide a visual and audio feast combining modern techno, analogue electronics, absurdist psychedelia and video art. Originally from Kenya and based in Glasgow, Heir of The Cursed, aka Beldina Odenyo Onassis, will supplement the program with her powerful voice.

Following the international success of Trifle, the force of nature that is Natalie Sharp (Lone Taxidermist) will present a new performance exploring the body as a sensory device. All female and all powerful group Stasis will bring movement and dance to the programme involving cake, whilst artist duo Pil and Galia Kollectiv will provide conversation-led activity in which audiences can take part.

To see festival-goers through to the early hours of the morning, Glasgow-based OH141 will curate the late night stage with DJs and performances from Junglehussi, V/DA and Letitia Pleiades among others.

A range of catering will be provided, with an optional sit-down dinner experience or a buffet, further evoking the theme of a wedding celebration. Sunday will include a movement class led by artist Mel Broomes, Director of V/DA and lead artist for Project X, an artist collective who champion dance and performance within the African Caribbean Diaspora in Scotland.
