A spectacularly combined celebration of Diwali, Guy Fawkes night, and the Hindu Festival of Lights, Wembley Park’s Light Up the Night Festival promises to provide a vibrant and magical evening for all family and friends to enjoy. From fairground rides, eccentric parades, and explosive fireworks, to delicious street food and music at the buzzy Boxpark Wembley, there will be plenty to enjoy and indulge in at this 30,000 capacity firework night spectacular.

Join in with a magnificent lantern parade which will take place along Olympic Way – accompanied by an original score from Emergency Exit Arts’ Ben Raine – and make a fun contribution by attending pre-lantern making workshops prior to the festival, and taking part in the parade with your bespoke creations.

Then delight in a fantastic fireworks display on Engineers Way, with the impressive Wembley Stadium in clear view, and experience a lights parade like no other featuring giant illuminated butterflies, an impressive Garuda-inspired mechanical Fire Bird, and giant carnivalesque puppets created by renowned artist Tony Mason.

Chief operating officer at Wembley Park, James Saunders said: ‘We are delighted to be bringing Light Up the Night back to the neighbourhood for another year and to host this year’s celebratory procession along the newly-completed Olympic way. This special celebration showcases everything we value about Wembley Park: diversity, creativity and community all in a spectacular, free family event.’

Leader of Brent Council, Councillor Muhammed Butt said: ‘It is a pleasure to see the best of Brent come together in family-friendly events that the whole community can enjoy. As London’s most diverse borough, Brent has many unique traditions to share and I am grateful to Wembley Park for hosting Light Up the Night and bringing this fantastic Diwali and Bonfire Night celebration to the whole neighbourhood. If you haven’t been before, it’s a fantastic free event for all the family and is one of London’s last remaining free firework displays.’
