Enter the decadent world of Jay Gatsby at Plateau‘s new immersive dining experience: the first in a series of dinners based around some of the world’s favourite books. Guests are invited to don their finest glad rags and travel back in time to the roaring twenties, to the glamorous world depicted in Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby. Head Chef Frederick Foster has created an impressive four-course Art Deco menu for the occasion, featuring dishes such as as smoked salmon and caviar on toast to start, followed by herb-crusted lamb rack with artichokes and rosemary-infused sauce. For dessert, indulge on a caramelised lemon tart with Champagne poached rhubarb, inspired by the afternoon tea laid to woo Daisy Buchanan. Naturally, Champagne will be the drink of the evening. In the words of Fitzgerald, spend a night “among the whispering and the Champagne and the stars”…
Also coming up in the series is a Willy Wonka themed evening, and a dinner centred around the masterpiece that is Harry Potter, focusing in particular on Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.
The Great Gatsby Supper Tale will take place on 7 March at 7pm with a 1920s inspired dress code
