The Curriculum

The curriculum is based on the Knowledge, Enlightenment and Discovery (KED) programme. The school believes how you learn is as important as what you learn, and teachers direct and guide, developing a pathway for each pupil based on their needs.

Games & The Arts

Sport is integral to school life, and Bryanston Prep pupils take part in a varied programme of traditional team sports as well as dance, fitness and riding at the equestrian centre. Creative arts are at the foundation of the school with opportunities in music, drama, art and DT.

Pastoral Care

Bryanston Prep believes the wellbeing of pupils is central to their ability to succeed in their learning and relationships. Pupils learn how to live together, to share, to be independent and to develop self-confidence and self-reliance, always secure in the knowledge that they are valued and cared for. This culture of support means that the school’s pupils are confident, eager to try new things, polite and well-mannered.

Recent Scholarships

Bryanston (senior), Leweston, Clayesmore, Sherborne, Wells Cathedral School, Milton Abbey.

Head Teacher’s Philosophy

Our ethos is to understand truly how each child learns by giving them time, nurture and inspiration to find their passion and a love of learning. Our culture celebrates the individual spirit within each child and our job is to nurture, encourage and guide every pupil to realise their own abilities and passions.

Outstanding Characteristics

Bryanston Prep believes that a school should inspire a love of learning while promoting social growth, emotional awareness, intellectual development and creativity. The school makes the most of being set in the beautiful Dorset countryside; staff believe education should not be confined to a classroom and a desk. Bryanston children are outdoors as much as possible, learning from and in nature.
