The Curriculum
Godstowe provides an exciting and stimulating education that meets the needs of all pupils, extending and broadening beyond the requirements of the National Curriculum. The caring, friendly atmosphere creates a happy, positive learning environment.
Games & The Arts
With specialist teachers for all subjects, children at Godstowe benefit from inspiring expertise. Art, drama, DT, music and sport are taught as part of the curriculum, as well as lots of opportunities to showcase their work.
Pastoral Care
Godstowe’s ethos is simple: to help girls and boys be confident, happy and successful. Indeed, if the first two are true, the third will almost certainly follow. At Godstowe, the wellbeing of pupils comes first. Visitors often comment on the happy and positive atmosphere in the school. All pupils are treated as individuals and staff support and nurture each appropriately according to their own specific needs, so that they can reach their potential both socially and academically.
Head Teacher’s Philosophy
A true love of learning and life sits at the heart of all we do. We strike a healthy balance between academic achievement and fostering key character and life skills that will enable them to lead fulfilling, happy and purposeful lives. We are a family school where our parents are valued as much as our pupils and there are many opportunities for families to be involved in the ever growing and vibrant community events and celebrations on offer every term.
