Hotel Of The Week: Win A Stay At The Gin Trap Inn

Nestled in the picturesque village of Ringstead, this charming 17th-century coaching inn has been welcoming guests for over 350 years. Just a stone’s throw from the scenic North Norfolk coast, it is perfectly positioned for exploring the region’s finest sights, with the best of Norfolk within easy reach. Renowned for its flavour-packed seasonal cuisine and sun-trap garden, the inn’s ingredient-led menu celebrates local produce, much of which is sourced from the nearby coast. The history of the inn is woven into its character, with low black beams and gin-trap light fittings in the bar, contrasting beautifully with the soft pastels and airy ambience of the conservatory dining space.

There are ten uniquely designed rooms and suites, featuring glorious freestanding cast-iron baths and far-reaching countryside views. Guests looking for additional space and privacy can choose from three charming two-bedroom cottages. A stay at The Gin Trap Inn wouldn’t be complete without indulging in the chef’s signature breakfast – a heavenly combination of bagels topped with house-made 88 percent chocolate spread, roast bananas, and maple syrup.

  • The competition/giveaway is open to residents of the UK aged 18 years or over, except employees of Chestnut and their close relatives or anyone otherwise connected with the organisation.

  • The competition is free to enter. Entry details will be specified in the promotional post/email. Typical entry requirements may include: completing an online entry form, liking or following our social media accounts, or subscribing to our email list.

  • Only one entry per person unless otherwise stated. Multiple entries from the same person may result in disqualification.

  • Entries will be accepted starting from within defined time scales including a close date. Entries received after this time will not be valid.

  • The prize is detailed in the email or post and can include overnight stays or gift cards. No cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prize is not transferable or exchangeable. Prizes will need to be claimed within 48 hours. If the prize is an overnight stay the booking will need to be made within seven days and cannot be changed. The booking will be subject to our standard terms and conditions.

  • The winner will be chosen at random from all eligible entries received.​

  • The winner will be notified via email within 14 days of the closing date.

  • If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within seven days, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize and select a replacement winner.

  • The prize will be sent to the winner within 10 days of confirmation.

  • By entering, entrants agree to the use of their name and social handle in any publicity material, unless prohibited by law.​

  • The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions if necessary due to unforeseen circumstances.
