The Jewellery Trends Taking Over 2025

Nostalgia-driven trends will take centre stage in the coming months, with everything from pearls and beads to charms and ear cuffs claiming a space in our jewellery box. Intrigued? These are the jewellery trends to keep tabs on in 2025:

1. Modern Pearls

Did somebody say pearlcore? Everyone’s favourite marine gemstone is stepping into the spotlight once again – but with a twist. ‘After seasons of pearls layered upon pearls, 2025 will see designers reimagine the trend by pairing pearls with gemstones like white or blue topaz,’ says Laura Vann, founder of jewellery label V by Laura Vann. ‘This will bring a fresh, elevated take. Unexpected pairings like baroque pearls set against geometric-cut stones will result in jewellery that feels equally suited to special occasions and everyday wear.’

2. Beads

And with boho back on the scene, beads are set to be a big jewellery trend for 2025. ‘I expect to see beads continue in popularity,’ notes Laura. ‘And with Pantone predicting the use of “fresh and optimistic” colours, I expect to see energetic hues like our electric blue lapis column necklace and earrings set, cut in playful ways.’

3. Marine-Inspired Jewellery

Speaking of pearls and deep blue hues – the ocean, and all the features that come with(in) it, will heavily influence jewellery trends over the next year. ‘I think as we are becoming more and more sensitive about the environment, jewellers get inspired by nature’s beauty and are keen to design jewellery that reminds us of nature or are use materials that come from nature,’ notes Lito Karakostanoglou, founder of fine jewellery brand Lito.

‘I have always loved incorporating marine-inspired designs in our jewellery,’ adds Cece Fein-Hughes, the founder of London-based jewellery company Cece Jewellery. ‘The ocean and its creatures hold so much meaning to so many people, from its calming presence to the memories it stirs of seaside escapes and adventures. It’s timeless and universally evocative, which is why I think people will always gravitate towards it. Marine-inspired jewellery has a way of blending elegance with storytelling, and in 2025, I feel we will see them becoming even more sought-after as people embrace designs that feel both meaningful and effortlessly chic.’

4. Charms

There’s also a more nostalgic trend throwing its hat into the ring this year. ‘Charms have always been such a wonderful way to build on a pendant or bracelet, creating a collection of meaningful pieces that tell your unique story over time,’ highlights Cece. ‘They’re personal, sentimental, and endlessly versatile – and that’s exactly why I think people love collecting them. Charms will always hold a special place in jewellery and continue to be a timeless trend.’

5. Ear Cuffs

And when it comes to earrings, the team at Otiumberg predict that the top jewellery trend of 2025 will be dainty cuffs and ear stacks. ‘For us, cuffs are increasingly loved and are very multi-generational,’ the say. ‘We’ve seen women in their 50s or 60s buy for themselves while gifting the same piece to their daughters. You can build up your ear stack with no piercings required and take it from a single cuff on one side to layering them up and playing around with mixed metals. It’s a statement, yet not overpowering – and can work with any outfit, whether a T-shirt and jeans or evening wear. We see this being a strong trend into next year and beyond.’
