Set across six interconnected Georgian townhouses overlooking Russell Square and opposite the British Museum, The Zetter Bloomsbury is a 68-bedroom boutique hotel that brings the character and creativity of Bloomsbury into a distinctly Zetter setting.

Designed by award-winning designer James Thurstan Waterworth, the hotel takes inspiration from the neighbourhood’s artistic and literary heritage, with interiors that feel less like a hotel and more like the home of a well-travelled friend. Antique furniture, mid-century pieces, African textiles, Turkish rugs and works from the St Ives movement sit alongside bespoke details and treasures sourced from auctions, antique dealers and markets around the world.

Each of the 68 bedrooms has its own personality, from cosy, wood-panelled rooms to grand suites. The Terrace Suite is a highlight, with a four-poster bed, claw-foot bath beneath bay windows and a wrap-around terrace overlooking the garden. Every room features marble bathrooms, walk-in showers and VERDEN amenities.

Downstairs, The Parlour offers a relaxed space for drinks and light refreshments, while The Orangery opens onto the hotel’s landscaped garden and serves breakfast and afternoon tea. At the heart of the hotel is a 1,000 sqm private garden, designed by the Rich Brothers. Reimagined as a layered secret garden with four distinct areas, it combines traditional British planting with subtle Japanese influences – a peaceful retreat in the centre of London.

With independent shops and cafés on nearby Lamb’s Conduit Street and the cultural riches of the British Museum on its doorstep, The Zetter Bloomsbury offers the perfect base for exploring one of London’s most characterful neighbourhoods.
