Looking for some snazzy new tableware? You’re in the right place: we’ve partnered with Hokan Bowls to give you the chance to win their entire range of stackable stone dishes. Read on for the details…
Sustainable, stackable and plastic-free, these unique and multi-functional cookware items, beloved by celebrities and chefs worldwide come in a range of colours and three different sizes: 400ml, 600ml and 1000ml.
The innovative, stylish stoneware bowls are designed to stack on top of each other and provide the ideal means of minimising food waste, as the high-fired glaze of the stoneware means the bowls are able to withstand the oven, microwave, freezer and dishwasher.
Hokan, the Japanese word for safekeeping, was established by film producer Alistair Donald in 2014 as a means of minimising food waste and the use of plastic storage Tupperware, as well as maximising time efficiency in the kitchen. Of the design inspiration, he says, ‘When cooking for my kids, I quickly realised that there was the potential for a lot of uneaten or over-prepared food to go to waste. I already kept food in whatever bowl was free and then covered it with a saucer to keep it fresh, so the idea of Hokan could not have been more obvious! I have found so many other uses for them when cooking for the family now too; individual meals can be cooked in them and frozen, or put in the fridge, which is great when needing to prepare beforehand and then put in the oven after school or when back from work.’
Hokan bowls are manufactured in Portugal where they have the best sustainable, natural resources, and each have an interlocking base and lid, making them the ideal solution for safely storing leftovers or pre-prepared meals in the fridge or freezer, before cooking.
Competition closes at midnight on 30 November 2023.
