Nestled in the rolling hills of Umbria, regenerative farm Quintosapore blends wellbeing, gastronomy and sustainability into a single, soulful retreat. This May, it plays host to a long-weekend immersion for those wishing to reconnect with the land and their roots, wellness enthusiasts looking for the latest in creative renewal, food lovers, cooks and sensory explorers. My Garden Grows Stories is a writing, soil and creative regeneration masterclass that fuses the regenerative farming wisdom of Nicola and Alessandro, the Twin Farmers behind Quintosapore, with the embodied storytelling practice of writer and teacher Kamin Mohammadi.
Across four transformative days, guests unearth their stories from the ground up — through soil, seeds, memory and shared meals. From exploring regenerative agriculture and ancestral foodways to writing from the body and the senses, this retreat invites a rediscovery of creativity as a living dialogue with the land. At its heart are Quintosapore’s guiding philosophies: soil as a living web, farming as reciprocity, biodiversity as memory, and collaboration with nature as identity and hope.
The weekend flows gently from a welcome aperitivo and dinner in Città della Pieve to hands-on days at the farm filled with sensory writing, foraging and soil-to-fork feasting. Saturday centres on memory, culture and cooking, featuring a special guest chef leading a workshop that culminates in an evening of shared stories and recipes. Sunday’s gathering closes with a reflective writing session inspired by the town’s art and architecture, followed by a communal brunch and optional readings.
The retreat runs from 14–17 May 2026, with all writing masterclasses led by award-winning writer, journalist and narrative healer Kamin Mohammadi. Guests will also receive soil-to-fork lunches, a cooking workshop, regenerative farm immersion with the Twin Farmers, guided foraging and an optional somatic sessions. Travel to and from Città della Pieve in Italy and accomodation are not included.
Those in the masterclass will also have the chance to enter their writing into a competition judged by Kamin Mohammadi, Livia Giuggioli Firth and Country & Town House editor Lucy Cleland. The winner will have their piece of work inspired by the weekend immersion published on the Country & Town House website.
Competition closes on 15 February 2026.
