Plus, where else the stars own homes
It’s the pairing Hollywood never saw coming: the power-hungry assistant from The Devil Wears Prada and the dweeby salesman from the American Office. Now married for over 15 years with two daughters and two Quiet Place films to their name, Emily Blunt and John Krasinski have also acquired an impressive portfolio of properties over the years – and now their old LA base is coming to market for almost $4.4m.
Look Inside Emily Blunt & John Krasinski’s Home
Perched atop the Hollywood Hills, Emily Blunt and John Krasinski purchased this Midcentury Modern home in 2014 for $2.5m. The pair lived in the property for just two years before selling it on to entertainment executive Dell Furano in 2016 for $3.5m – who then passed away in 2021 aged 71. Sat desolate since, Furano’s estate attempted to sell the home back in 2023 for $6 million. However, it seems the lofty price failed to attract any takers, with the property now set to return to the market with Compass real estate for a little under $4.4m.
Built in 1965, the single-storey home is secluded behind hedges at the end of a private cul-de-sac just off LA’s Mulholland Drive. A former manse (an American-style vicarage that provides residence for a minister or a member of the clergy), this ranch-style property spans an impressive 3,657 sqft. Today, many of its period features remain – including wide-plank hardwood floors, original stonework and beamed ceilings – while modern upgrades such as motorised skylights, retractable blinds and home automation have also been integrated.
Designed with open-plan living in mind, the four-bedroom, four-bathroom home features a custom kitchen, recessed living room and a separate dining room. The highlight? The principal suite, which boasts its very own sitting area, walk-in closet and spa-style bathroom with a soaking tub and steam show.
Perfect for basking in the LA sun, the internal courtyard, floor-to-ceiling windows and sliding glass doors keep the home connected to the outdoors. Here, the grounds span lawns, mature oaks, olive groves, lavender, roses, peach trees, lemon trees, a covered loggia, saltwater lap pool, and terraces with panoramic views across the nearby mountains, canyons and downtown LA skyline.
Where Else Have Emily Blunt & John Krasinski Owned Homes?
Hollywood Hills, California
Where Krasinski was born and raised in Newton, Massachusetts, a suburb just outside of Boston, Blunt grew-up across the pond in Roehampton, Surrey. The couple first shared a home together in 2008, two years before their 2010 wedding, when they purchased a contemporary property in the Hollywood Hills. Spanning around 4,800 sqft, and set within a 15,700 sqft hillside plot, it was expanded by the pair to include a third-storey and an outdoor pool. Notably, then-neighbour Jimmy Kimmel gift-wrapped the entire home in 2013 during a Christmas prank war between the friends. The couple listed the home for $8m in 2016 and sold it to Kendall Jenner for $6.5m later that year.
Ojai, California
Elsewhere in California, the power couple purchased a 4,177 sqft Colonial-style property in 2012 for $2.15m. Spanning five acres, this eco-friendly estate was kitted out with a solar energy system and on-site well. Beyond its four bedrooms and four bathrooms, the home also boasted a private guest wing, chef’s kitchen, swimming pool, spa, a covered patio and fire pit – plus rolling lawns and views across the Californian mountains and Los Padres National Forest. The pair eventually sold the property in 2017 for $2.4m to fund their permanent move to the East Coast.

Brooklyn, New York
A four-storey, semi-detached limestone townhouse built in 1909, this Park Slope property spans approximately 5,200 sqft. Blunt and Krasinski purchased the seven-bedroom home in December 2015 for $6 million and spent a reported $300,000–$500,000 on renovations. Finding that they weren’t spending much time at the home, Krasinski told the Wall Street Journal: ‘The house is so special. Someone who can spend every night there should have it.’ They eventually put it back on the market for $8m in 2016, and it sold for $6.5m in 2018.
Brooklyn, New York
After selling off their Park Slope base, in 2018 the couple bought-up two adjacent units that spanned the entire eighth floor of The Standish – a boutique conversion in Brooklyn Heights, with Hudson River views – and converted them into one. They paid $11 million for the pair of apartments combined, and this remains their primary base to this day.
Walthamstow, London
While Blunt was filming Mary Poppins Returns in London during 2017, the stars are said to have temporarily relocated to Blighty, where they once more during the 2020 pandemic. Though little is known about their British base, sources suggest that the couple lived in Walthamstow, London during this time.
Coming to the market with Compass for nearly $4.4m.
