Take a look inside

On 22 July 2025 Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne passed away, aged 76, following a 20-year battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Leaving behind his wife Sharon Osbourne, and their children, Aimee, Kelly and Jack (plus Ozzy’s children Jessica, Louis and Jack from a previous relationship), it seems the home Sharon once shared with her husband of 43 years has grown too big for her to live in alone. With Ozzy Osbourne’s LA mansion now on the market $17m, here’s your chance to live in the former home of a heavy metal legend.

When Ozzy Osbourne was still alive back in 2022, he and Sharon tried to make the move from the US back to their British homeland when they put their home, in the LA neighbourhood of Hancock Park, on the market for $18m. Unfortunately for the pair, they failed to seal the deal and it was quietly removed only a few months later. Now, almost nine months on from Ozzy’s death, it seems Sharon is ready to give it another go, having recently listed the LA property again for $1m less than the original asking price.

With Sharon having now lived there for over a decade, the couple purchased the Mediterranean Revival-style mansion in 2015 for $11.9m. Previous owners include radio star Frank Bresee and his wife, former Playboy bunny and actress Bobbie Bresee, as well as Top Chef Canada judge Shereen Arazm and her husband, Saw producer Oren Koules. First built in 1929 by architect A.K. Kellog, the property was extensively restored and upgraded by the latter couple, and later received a glam rework courtesy of the Osbournes.

With its creamy stucco and terracotta-roof facade, intricately carved, ornate doorframe, arched-top lattice windows, terraced balcony, and manicured lawns, this property looks like it’s been transported straight out of the Mediterranean. Hidden behind tall, paparazzi-proof gates, the Osbourne’s former home spans 11,500 sqft arranged across three elevator-accessed levels and features a total of seven bedrooms and eight bathrooms – including a two-bedroom guesthouse with a kitchen above the detached three-car garage.

Inside, the portico entryway offers up herringbone-patterned hardwood floors, a curved staircase, wrought-iron balusters, and a golden chandelier which hangs from the ornate, hand-painted ceiling. From here, arched, carved-wood doors flow through to the living room with its stone fireplace and antique furniture, and onto the formal dining room and wood-panelled study which boasts a fittingly gothic bat chandelier. Also on this floor, sits the family room with its laddered bookcase, as well as the kitchen, which features a pastel pink breakfast banquette surrounded by green-covered chairs.

Accessed via a blood-red stairwell – complete with a stained-glass window of Jesus which is ironically positioned adjacent to Ozzy’s records and awards – sits the casanova-esque cinema room: think red velvet curtains, red velvet sofas, red velvet cushions, red velvet ceilings, walls and floors. It is here that guests can find the home’s most irreplaceable treasure – a fireplace hood signed over the decades by a plethora of famous Hollywood actors and musicians, including Elvis Presley and Rita Moreno. Meanwhile, the outside area features a covered al fresco terrace done up with checkerboard marble floors, a pizza oven and BBQ, plus manicured lawns and a swimming pool with a spa.

As for where Sharon Osbourne will move next, she still owns a 10th-floor condo at West Hollywood’s Sierra Towers skyscraper, but this property has also recently been put on the market for just $2.3m. Today, the former X Factor judge is said to spend most of her time at Welders House, the family’s longtime country estate in England where Ozzy is buried, with reports suggesting that she is also looking for her own apartment in LA where she can stay close to her children and grandchildren.
