Bryan Adams & Def Leppard Will Headline BBC Radio 2 In The Park 2025

Radio 2’s flagship live music festival will take place in Hylands Park in Chelmsford, Essex, as announced on The Scott Mills Breakfast Show this morning. Scheduled for Friday 5 to Sunday 7 September 2025, here’s everything we know so far about Radio 2 in the Park 2025.

BBC Radio 2 In The Park 2025: Line-Up, Tickets & More

Essex natives Ellie Taylor and Rylan Clark took to Hylands House yesterday morning (2 June) to reveal the 2025 location of BBC Radio 2 in the Park: the surrounding Hylands Park.

‘I can’t wait to welcome my Radio 2 family to Chelmsford and have this year’s Radio 2 in the Park right on my doorstep!’ Rylan said. ‘If there’s one thing I know for certain, it’s that an Essex crowd knows how to party. See you all in Hylands Park!’

It’s the third annual edition of the festival following a debut in Leicester in 2023, and last year’s edition in Preston. Before the pandemic, Radio 2 Live ran from 2011 to 2019 in London’s Hyde Park.

The BBC Radio 2 In The Park Line-Up

Bryan Adams and Def Leppard will headline BBC Radio 2 in the Park 2025, as revealed on The Scott Mills Breakfast Show this morning (Tuesday 3 June), performing on the Saturday and the Sunday respectively. They will be joined by Belinda Carlisle, Jessie J, Ronan Keating, Anastacia, David Gray and plenty more across the weekend. And on Friday night, a DJ party will kick everything off.

‘This will be my first time performing in Chelmsford,’ says Adams who, over his five-decade career, has cemented his status as a global music icon. ‘I’m genuinely looking forward to bringing the show there. There’s something exciting about playing in a new place, especially somewhere that’s filled with a Radio 2 crowd ready to rock. I’m thrilled to be part of this event… Brace yourselves, we’re gonna roll with the punches!’

Def Leppard have also never performed in Chelmsford before, lead singer Joe Elliott revealed on Radio 2 this morning. ‘We are very much looking forward to headlining on the Sunday and also having our good friend Bryan Adams on the festival the night before,’ the band said in a statement. ‘It’ll be a fantastic weekend.’

Last year, Sting and the Pet Shop Boys headlined the festival in Preston. In 2023, Leicester’s Victoria Park edition was headlined by Tears for Fears and Kylie.

Where Is It?

Introducing Hylands Park, the 574 acre grade II* listed Essex country park surrounding the neo-classical villa Hylands House. But don’t worry, it’s not all prim and proper: ‘Hylands Park is no stranger to music festivals,’ says Chelmsford City Council leader Stephen Robinson. He adds the council is ‘thrilled to add another renowned music event to the list in 2025’ and that ‘BBC Radio 2 in the Park is a fantastic opportunity for Chelmsford’.

Hylands Park will host Radio 2 in the Park from 5–7 September 2025, wrapping up the summer festival season.

How To Get Tickets

Tickets for BBC Radio 2 in the Park 2025 will go on sale at 8.30am on Wednesday 4 June 2025 at bbc.co.uk/radio2inthepark

Tickets will be sold through Ticketmaster, so it’s best to make sure you’ve made an account ahead of time. Essex locals are in luck: 30 percent of tickets will be reserved for people with an Essex postcode, which you’ll be prompted to input at the time of purchase.

BBC Radio 2 in the Park will be broadcast live from Hylands Park throughout the festival on Radio 2, BBC Sounds and iPlayer.
