First Look: The Celebrity Donations to Sue Ryder’s Pop-Up

Eddie Redmayne, Kate Moss, Susie Cave, Gillian Anderson, Jean Shrimpton, Sam Smith, Daniel Radcliffe and Iskra Lawrence have donated personal items to a new Sue Ryder pop-up shop in Mayfair.

The shop will be open for just one day on Friday, 19 October (10am to 4.30pm) at Bonhams in New Bond Street, selling a range of fabulous vintage clothing, accessories and curios.  The temporary vintage shop will sell items from across different eras in fashion.

‘Our pop-up shop will be stocking some amazing vintage garments and accessories donated by a host of celebrities and iconic names from the worlds of fashion and entertainment. Eddie Redmayne has donated a signed copy of his original script from The Theory of Everything, the biopic of Stephen Hawking, who lived with MND for most of his adult life.

‘It seemed a fitting tribute to the memory of Stephen, to donate my signed script from The Theory of Everything to Sue Ryder. The charity provides vital support to people living with MND and I’m delighted that funds raised from my donation will help to support people living with this and other life-changing conditions.’ – Eddie Redmayne

Kate Moss, who has donated a signed copy of her coffee-table tome Kate by Kate Moss to the shop added. ‘I regularly donate to my local Sue Ryder shop in North London and I’m delighted to be supporting the charity’s first pop-up shop.’

Jean Shrimpton, model and icon of ‘Swinging London’ has donated a luxurious Georgina Von Etzdorf velvet jacket to the auction, Gillian Anderson, star of cult shows such as X-Files and The Fall has donated a pair of Charles David sandals to the auction and Susie Cave, has donated one of her stunning Vampire’s Wife Juno dresses in pink and metallic to the auction.

A host of British designers have also donated items to the shop including milliner Philip Treacy, Stephen Jones, Henry Holland and hot label of the moment, Rixo.

Daniel Radcliffe (Signed copy of Little Shop of Horrors), Ronan Keating, Karren Brady and Sam Smith (Signed limited edition Sam Smith vinyl) have also donated items.Fir

Visitors to the shop will be able to buy many unusual and unique items, which is open to customers from 10am to 4.30pm. Celebrity donated items will be placed in to a silent auction giving those that can’t travel to the shop in London the opportunity to get involved and bid. All silent auction items will be available to view in the shop on Friday 19 October. The auction items will go live and bids will be able to be placed from Wednesday 10 October and will close at 23:59 on Monday 22 October.
