A new instalment was confirmed just as season 2 finished airing

Did you catch the last episode of Hulu’s political thriller, Paradise? With tensions high, and season 2 ending on a huge cliffhanger, we only have one question: what happens next? And it looks like we won’t have too long to wait. The team behind the show have confirmed that they’ve already finished writing the scripts for Paradise season 3 – all that’s left to do is get the team back together for filming and production. Here’s everything we know about the third (and, apparently, last) instalment of the show.

Paradise Season 3: Everything We Know So Far

Julianne Nicholson as Samantha ‘Sinatra’ Redmond

Plot

Paradise follows Xavier Collins (Sterling K. Brown), a secret service agent who is sworn in to protect President Cal Bradford (James Marsden). But unlike your usual White House drama, the series unfolds in an underground bunker hidden inside a Colorado mountain, three years after a mass extinction event. The story unfolds as Xavier takes on the task of investigating Cal’s sudden murder, but as he untangles the threads surrounding the crime, he uncovers a ‘utopia’ – aka, the aforementioned bunker, run by an elitist group headed by Samantha ‘Sinatra’ Redmond (Julianne Nicholson).

The show has drawn critical acclaim since its debut in 2025, with the first series receiving a momentous 7 million views in its first nine days on the streaming service. Fans and critics alike have praised the performances in Paradise, particularly the work of Sterling K. Brown, who was nominated for a Golden Globe, a Primetime Emmy and a Critics Choice award for his performance in the series.

What Will Happen In Season 3? (Spoilers Ahead)

Executive producer, John Hoberf, explained that season 3 will be rife with conflict, both within the bunker and in the outside world. As he told The Hollywood Reporter: ‘[Season 2] is setting up that there are a lot of things going on in two different places, and if I were a viewer, I would wonder if those two different things might come together at some point.’

During season 2, Sinatra revealed to Link (Thomas Doherty) that she was his mother, although he refused to believe her. And at the end of the episode, Sinatra stays locked in the bunker as the mountain explodes. Just before the bunker falls, Sinatra tells Xavier that there is a second bunker underneath Denver airport where a quantum computer dubbed ‘Alex’ is housed. Sinatra tells him to find the computer, and ‘go save the world’. From this cliffhanger, we can expect season 3 to unfold with Xavier taking on this mammoth task.

The Cast

Sterling K. Brown will reprise his role as Xavier – although the same cannot be said for Julianne Nicholson, who played Sinatra on the show. With her demise pretty much confirmed in season 2, we imagine she won’t be making a reappearance. (But with many unanswered questions still surrounding her apparent son Link, it is highly likely that Thomas Doherty will be returning to the role.) Shailene Woodley’s Annie Clay similarly meets an unfortunate end in season 2, so we doubt she’ll be coming back for a third instalment. However, with the abundance of flashbacks in Paradise, it is impossible to rule this out.

Other recurring cast members include:

  • James Marsden as President Cak Bradford
  • Sarah Shahi as Dr Gabriela Torabi
  • Krys Marshall as Agent Robinson
  • Jon Beavers as Billy
  • Nicole Brydon Bloom as Jane Driscoll
  • Charlie Evans as Jeremy
  • Aliyah Mastin as Presley
  • Percy Daggs IV as James

Will This Be The Final Season?

Paradise creator Dan Fogelman has said throughout the production process that he believes the show has a three-season arc – and it seems like the rest of the team are aware of this. Hoberg also told The Hollywood Reporter: ‘We know what the end is, and it’s an end that would make it very difficult to make a season four come afterward.’

At the moment, it does not seem likely that a fourth season will be commissioned – but season three looks set to be full of twists, turns and big reveals.

Paradise Season 3 Release Date

No official dates just yet, but we know that season 3 is on its way. Season two of Paradise was released a year after the first season, and producers have already confirmed that episodes of season three are in development (with its writers already having finished the script), so it seems likely that the show will be available to stream in early 2027.

If season three follows the same patterns as the previous series, the episodes will be 45 to 60 minutes, with eight instalments per season.
