The online Sotheby’s auction will run from 22 May to 1 June, featuring an array of pieces from the private collection of Huntsman owner Pierre Lagrange.

With an emphasis on exquisite objects, the sale spotlights Lagrange’s appreciation and enthusiasm for one-off pieces ‘from the clubroom and dressing room, to the garage and grounds’, says Lagrange.

Sotheby’s and Huntsman Are Auctioning the Ultimate Lifestyle CollectionHuntsman

Collected over several years and continents, the Huntsman lifestyle is reflected in sale objects that range from a timeless Cartier watch and cashmere-lined cowboy boots to a tweed billiards table and customised onesie in the Huntsman Burning Man print.

‘This sale will see the legacies of two historic Mayfair institutions collide in what will be an exceptional opportunity to acquire bespoke creations from the most exclusive tailor on Savile Row. Appearing in an unprecedented online lifestyle auction, each lot will embody the integrity, craftsmanship and contemporary elegance which has come to define Huntsman, and the style and sophistication sought by our clients.’ – Harry Dalmeny, Sotheby’s UK Chairman

This is not the first time that Sotheby’s and Huntsman have joined forces. Recently the team won a Webby Award for the 13-part video series ‘Treasures from Chatsworth’ that explored the diverse corners of Chatsworth’s art collection.

Some of our favourite pieces from the sale are a pair of 18 carat gold Givenchy cufflinks designed by James de Givenchy and inspired by his uncle Hubert de Givenchy, who frequently graced Huntsman’s fitting rooms. Claret Adidas Stan Smith trainers are also big winners. Game nights at home would be afforded an extra, Huntsman edge with bespoke pieces like a tweed dart board and playful Cartier silver backgammon dice or Marc Newson’s iconic Hourglass. We also have our eye on a bottle of 1870 Chateau La te Magnum from Lagrange’s personal cellar- a surefire way to up the ante at dinner.

Beyond the beautiful objects, Lagrange also has curated bespoke experiences including the ‘Huntsman Kingsman Room Sleepover Experience’ in the shop. Two cashmere sleeping bags with a monogrammed zipper in your initial from CHAOS will ensure luxurious lounging and, when you wake up, you will be treated to a breakfast at Isabel, Mayfair.

The Huntsman x Sotheby’s auction will run exclusively online from Tuesday 22nd May to Friday 1st June, 2018. All lots will be offered without buyer’s premium, and will be on exhibition in the Wemyss Gallery at Sotheby’s New Bond Street.
