Watch the ‘Santa Forgot’ Alzheimer’s Research Christmas Advert 2016, which is being labelled the most touching of the season so far. Stephen Fry has teamed up with the charity to narrate the touching story of Father Christmas living with the effects of dementia.

The video sees Santa forgotten by children at Christmas as he is no longer able to visit homes and give gifts due to the effects of dementia.

But one little girl believes in the power of research, and refuses to give up on her lost Christmas hero. Freya believes that if Santa has a disease, it can be fixed.

The charity are urging people to ‘believe’ again this Christmas, to help defeat dementia.

“Alzheimer’s disease is the most common cause of dementia, it can affect anyone, but everyone can play a part in fighting back this Christmas.” – Alzheimer’s Research UK

“From the moment I was told about Santa Forgot I wanted to lend my support – it is an inspiring and beautiful take on a Christmas tale. I urge people up and down the country to get behind the campaign so we can fuel the fight against dementia and take a step forward to making it history.” – Stephen Fry

Other campaigns that have got people talking this season include the John Lewis Christmas advert 2016, featuring Buster the Boxer, and Mulberry’s ‘It’s What’s Inside That Counts’ campaign.
