Energetic, transparent and deeply human, Mejuicer is redefining what responsible entrepreneurship looks like in the food and drink sector. Founded by Joe Roberts-Walker in 2021, the London-based brand has built a circular, closed-loop model from the ground up – collecting, washing and reusing every glass bottle it sells, and repurposing 100 percent of juice pulp into animal feed and biofuel. Mejuicer donates one percent of revenue (not profit) to CALM and The Burnt Chef Project, while mentoring young people at risk of offending through programmes such as No Knives Better Lives. With partnerships spanning Google, Amazon and Soho House, this is a small brand with a big heart.

Responsible Food Brand

Winner: Borough Broth

Championing organic, slow food and zero-waste principles, Borough Broth is setting new standards for sustainability in British food production. Founded by Ros Heathcote, the West London brand transforms bones that would otherwise go to waste into nutrient-rich organic broths and cooking fats. A Certified B Corp, Soil Association Organic producer and London Living Wage employer, Borough Broth champions ethical sourcing, gender equity and fair pay, all while maintaining complete transparency across its supply chain. What the judges said:

‘I love the female focus, and can really feel the impact of that through the people and team approach.
