If you’re into all things Italian at the dinner table then you are going to have to be quick on the uptake: Harry’s Dolce Vita restaurant opened its reservations line last week and is already filling up very quickly!
The latest opening from Caprice Holdings, Harry’s Dolce Vita, will open its doors on 6 December to serve seasonal Italian plates from its elegant 1950s style restaurant, which takes its inspiration from the legendary, original Harry’s Bar in Mayfair. Known as one of the most desirable dining experiences in town, Harry’s Bar opened in London in 1979 with the aim of bringing the ethos of Italian hospitality, food, drinks and fun to its central London location. Priding itself on its Bellinis, Negronis and stunning collection of Italian wines, Harry’s Bar has always meticulously sourced its food in order to deliver dishes based on the seasonal cuisine of Italy with a ‘modern twist’.
What’s On Offer?
Opening on 6 December in Knightsbridge, Harry’s Dolce Vita also plans on celebrating Italian food – but with its own unique twist. The decadent all-day menu will feature Italian classics from Chef Director Diego Cardoso (previously of Murano), whilst its glamorous interiors will make you feel like you are in a 50s Italian time warp. Cardoso has extensive experience at several Michelin-starred restaurants and will be creating culinary highlights such as Carpaccio di Tonno (tuna carpaccio) and Burrata al Tartufo (truffle and burrata – the ultimate luxurious combo) for the antipasti menu, whilst Linguine Vongole and Pappardelle al Ragù Bolognese will complete the Pasta e Risotti and Pesce e Carne menu and Gelato cannoli, Tiramisù and Panna Cotta for the ‘Dolci’. A delicious selection of Pizze will also be available in various flavours to appease all pizza lovers.
Following the tradition of Harry’s Bar, there will be an elegant grappa trolley circling the room to offer diners an aperitif or digestif.
Last night saw a host of Knightsbridge locals and insiders attend the glamorous Harry’s Dolce Vita preview evening, with VIP guests including Katie Keight, Jack Brooksbank and socialite Hofit Golan. The party carried on into the night, aided by lots of legendary Harry’s Bellinis and Rossinis to accompany canapés created to showcase the new restaurant’s exciting menu ahead of the grand opening in December.
Reservations went live last week and can be made via phone or online to ensure you get your own slice of Italy in the heart of Knightsbridge. The new restaurant opening has had people talking for a while already, so tables are going fast – make sure you don’t miss out.
