All Hallows Pupils become Head for the Day

Year 3 pupils at All Hallows Prep School, Seb and Conrad, took over as Head for the day.

Their parents got them the role at an auction in support of the schools new Astro Project.

Dr. Trevor Richards’, Head of All Hallows, became the boys’ personal assistant for the day.

Seb and Conrad spent the day replying to emails, ordering chocolates for staff and extending break for year 3.

They even invited Mr Bush for lunch, which consisted of pizza, jelly and ice-cream.

In the afternoon they asked Dr Richards to accompany them for a Learning Walk and wrote some of the school’s newsletter.

Dr Richards reported that: ‘It has been great fun, but the boys articulated that they were surprised how many emails to which they were required to respond and their tone in some cases. Given the boys’ acumen and the recent published research around the merits of a 4-day week, I wonder whether handing the school over to a couple of pupils should be a far more regular occurrence?’
