Alpha Plus Group have announced the opening of a new co-educational nursery, Little Wetherby, for September 2023.

The nursery will be located at 27 Edge Street W8, nearby to Notting Hill Gate and Kensington Church Street.

Little Wetherby will accommodate girls aged 2-4 and boys up to 5.

The new nursery will be part of Wetherby Kensington School and will help prepare the pupils for transition into the senior Alpha Plus schools.

Pupils of Little Wetherby will also receive priority access to other Alpha Plus schools.

Pupils aged two to three can choose to attend for half days or full days. Those aged three to four can enjoy full days.

In the future, Little Wetherby will be able to accept children of Reception age.

Educational leadership will be under Liz McLaughlin, the incoming Head of Wetherby Kensington.

The Head of Early Years position at Little Wetherby will be taken by Miss Jemima Jones, who is currently the Head of Early Years at Wetherby School.

The new nursery has been designed to give pupils the best educational experience. Pupils will be able to enjoy exercising in the large Hall or in the 600 acres of green space at Hyde Park, just 750 metres from the school.

A Forest School will be available weekly. This will give pupils the opportunity to learn how to plant, grow and tender to plants and insects.

The nursery site will be open to visitors to view from the summer term 2023, once refurbishments have been completed.
