The Royal Academy of Arts is set to host the annual Young Artists’ Summer Show

The online exhibition will start on Tuesday 16 July 2024,  as well as at the Clore Learning Centre from Tuesday 16 July to Sunday 11 August.

What To Expect At The Young Artists’ Summer Show

The exhibition will showcase the work of artists aged 4-19 years old. All of which were selected by a panel of judges.

The primary judging panel includes:

  • Mary Anderson for Assemble RA
  • Sinta Berry, Summer Exhibition Managing Curator at the Royal Academy
  • Rose Klerkx, RA Schools student
  • Emily Gopaul, primary school teacher and founder of The Primary Art Class

The secondary judging panel includes:

  • Rana Begum RA
  • Rina Sagoo, Assistant Curator for Artistic Programmes, Collections at the Royal Academy
  • Suleman Aqeel Khilji, RA Schools Student
  • Chris Francis, secondary school teacher and co-founder of Art Pedagogy

Prizes will be awarded to some of the artists from the exhibition. While visitors will have the chance to vote for their favourite artwork for the People’s Choice Award – voting will close on 30 August 2024.

Head of Learning at the Royal Academy, Molly Bretton, said: ‘We received a wealth of submissions, and they demonstrate the incredible imagination and skill of young artists and the amazing contribution of teachers working to nurture creativity across the UK.’
