Leweston School Appoints New Head

Leweston School has appointed Mr Richard Thompson as the new Head of Prep from September 2023.

Mr Thompson will take over from Miss Alanda Phillips who has been Head for the past seven years.

Currently, Mr Thompson is Deputy Head of Old Hall School in Shropshire.

He has experience in the positions of Head of Teaching and Learning and Head of Geography at St Andrew’s School in Berkshire.

Growing up, Mr Thompson attended Salisbury Cathedral School and Canford, and has a BA degree in Geography and French Language and Literature.

Chair of Governors at Leweston School, Mr Ian Lucas, said: ‘I have no doubt that Mr Thompson’s understanding of what makes Leweston Prep special and his belief in our ethos and values will ensure stability and continuity.’
