Isla started the sport when she was 12 years old and has continued training ever since.

She joined Taunton’s Sixth Form in 2021 with a sports scholarship.

Currently Isla studies BTEC Sport and Exercise Science while keeping up with her training schedule. This involves over 10 hours of athletics and swimming training every week and strength and conditioning sessions.

She had qualified for the championship in 2021, however it was sadly cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Isla’s advice for anyone wanting to try Biathle is: ‘give it your best shot. Work hard, train hard, and eventually it will pay off!’
