Games & The Arts

A wide variety of sports are on offer as part of the curriculum and afterschool with all pupils participating in weekly fixtures. Art, music and drama taught within the curriculum and music and Lamda lessons are available.

Pastoral Care

We nurture positive behaviour and celebrate individuals’ efforts and achievements in all areas of school life.

Every child is encouraged to think of others, respect differences and develop the skills of being a good citizen. Pupils have daily contact with their form tutor. He or she plays a pivotal role, communicating information about pupils to staff and parents. A strong, trusting relationship between pupils and their form tutors is the ideal.

Recent Scholarships

Thirty-nine per cent of the Year 8 pupils were awarded scholarships or awards into Ardingly Senior School.

Head Teacher’s Philosophy

Pupils foster their curiosity and investigate their world. Personal strengths are discovered, without the fear of making mistakes. They discover key qualities such as independent thinking, team work and kindness. Pupils should leave the Prep School with a better understanding of who they are and the type of person they want to be.
