The Curriculum

High academic standards lie at the heart of Bancroft’s. We provide a balanced curriculum and develop pupils’ talents in a wide range of activities, whilst promoting their intellectual growth.

Games & the Arts

Wide ranging programme of sports catering both for elite athletes and those who see sports as part of a healthy and balanced lifestyle.  Strong and ambitious arts with regular concerts and productions. Changing art displays show breadth and depth of talent.

Pastoral Care

If a child is not happy, they are unlikely to flourish, either academically or socially; therefore, pastoral care lies at the core of everything we do. We feel strongly that everyone is a piece in the pastoral jigsaw and our overarching approach is holistic and proactive.  Core values of kindness, curiosity, integrity, courage, balance and excellence, guide our practice with a view to making pupils the best version of themselves.

University Places

75 per cent per go to Russell Group Universities, and 10 per cent go to Oxbridge each year.

Head Teacher’s Philosophy

The wellbeing of each pupil is central and a Bancroft’s education is grounded on our core values: curiosity, integrity, kindness, courage, balance and excellence. By encouraging pupils to develop these qualities and to take advantage of the opportunities we provide, we hope to enable them to become the best possible versions of themselves.
