The Curriculum

Glenesk has a fine record of academic
success. Our curriculum is designed to educate children towards purposeful learning and to prepare them for entrance tests to the best of over 30 local prep schools.

Games & The Arts

Children are encouraged to take part in and enjoy a wide range of sports, including swimming in the school’s indoor heated pool. Music, dance, drama and art are all incorporated into the curriculum rather than being optional extras.

Pastoral Care

Glenesk has a reputation garnered over many years of outstanding pastoral care, an essential confidence booster for new parents. The early years of life are so important and at Glenesk we aim to create a secure, stimulating and happy environment in which young children can thrive. Our qualified and experienced staff nurture the children throughout their time with us, helping them gain confidence and independence.

Head Teacher’s Philosophy

At Glenesk we believe every child is an individual and we aim to develop their talents accordingly, whether academic, creative, social or sporting. We pride ourselves on providing a welcoming start to school life, especially during those early years when a child’s key skills and attitudes are developed.

Outstanding Characteristics

As a stand-alone pre-prep school, Glenesk does not feed into any one particular prep school one school thus giving parents a strong element of choice for the next stage of their child’s education. Our school and nursery were rated as ‘outstanding in all areas’  following the SIS inspection in 2017.
