The Curriculum

Academic life at Gresham’s aims to be stimulating, exciting and fulfilling. Students study for IGCSEs and then have a choice between A-levels or the IB Diploma at sixth form.

Games & The Arts

The school has excellent sporting facilities, as well as its own theatre, Theatre in the Woods and music school (The Britten Building). It enjoys a reputation for producing highly successful pupils such as composer Benjamin Britten, poet W.H. Auden, international rugby players Tom and Ben Youngs and Academy Award award-winning actress Olivia Colman.

Gresham’s prides itself on its excellent pastoral care provision which underpins the full character education provided to all its pupils.

University Places

Pupils go on to study at universities such as Cambridge, Oxford, LSE, Edinburgh, Warwick, Durham, UCL, St Andrews, York, Exeter and King’s College London, as well as overseas destinations.

  • Gresham’s has an enviable 200 acre setting in the beautiful Georgian town of Holt in north Norfolk and is surrounded by rolling countryside and close to a spectacular coastline.
  • Pupils appreciate the space and freedom to learn and develop their interests with outstanding facilities which include a newly built music school, sixth form centre and Outdoor Activity Centre, which features a 250 metre zip wire and 28 metre climbing tower.
