Create a Unique Family Heirloom with William & Son

Since being founded in 1999 by Wiliam Asprey, William & Son have established themselves as Mayfair’s go-to destination for both town and country attire. From jewellery to homeware to accessories for the field, their products are steeped in tradition yet innovative at the same time, with a strong focus on high quality British craftsmanship.

Their expansive collection spans many fields, including – but not limited to – leather goods, cashmere apparel, homeware, silverware, accessories and handbags. Alongside their own product range, William & Son work with a new generation of artists, artisans and designer-makers to ensure traditional crafts are re-invigorated in new and interesting ways.

They have strived to create a product range which caters for all whims and fancies, but if you’re after something more specific, a bespoke service is offered across all departments, ranging from engraving to personalisation to completely unique commissions. Experts can work with clients to create custom-made pieces based precisely on individual preference, however extravagant.

“We give people a choice, and in my mind that’s what real luxury is,” says William. “Whether it’s style, colour, or even sitting down with one of our designers and designing something completely different which is pertinent to you and your family. We’re trying to create heirlooms for people and their families.”

Previous heirlooms have included bespoke pianos, music boxes and gem-encrusted tables – but “all things are possible,” they say, adding: “the only limitation is your imagination.”

It is this unique level of service that has earned William & Son a Royal Warrant. “Personally I’m very honoured to work for the queen,” says William. “For the business it’s a huge asset. We have to live up to the expectations of Her Majesty.”

William & Son are also taking measures to become a more eco-friendly company. “We’re now moving more into sustainability. We have to do measures of carbon footprints, we have to make sure we recycle as much as possible and it’s a very good thing. It’s making all of us think about the planet that we live in.”

They recently announced a partnership with the Planet Mark programme, a company which helps businesses reduce the amount of energy, water, waste and travel they use. As a result, they have already helped protect an acre of endangered rainforest in Central Peru, directly supporting the Asháninka community and the production of Peruvian cacao.
