Meet the fashion houses designing well and making better

The fashion industry has a notoriously bad reputation when it comes to its environmental impact – but a growing number of brands are working to change that through careful manufacturing processes, recycled materials and charitable programmes that give back to people and planet. Intrigued? These are the B Corp fashion brands to know now.

The List: B Corp Fashion Brands

DEPLOY

UK-based DEPLOY is one of the world’s earliest ethical fashion brands, and has spent the last two decades reforming fashion and championing zero-waste in its clothing. Operating via a 360° Sustainability Compass – in which equal care is given to wearer, maker, communities and the environment – put in place by founder Dr. Bernice Pan, the label also holds the title of the highest scoring fashion B Corp in the world, with a score of 176.8.

Baukjen

Another high-scoring fashion B Corp (153.6, to be exact), London-based label Baukjen has gone leaps and bounds to reduce its environmental impact. Since 2019, the label has halved its carbon footprint since 2019 and reduced its water by even more, and now 100 percent of its fabrics are responsibly sourced and feature trims made from recycled and natural materials. As for the fashion itself, founder Baukjen de Swaan Arons creates hardworking hero pieces that feel timelessly chic.

Brora

A recent addition to the UK’s growing number of B Corp brands (which now sits at 3000 plus, across all industries), Brora announced its certification back in April 2025. The brand, which is best known for its contemporary knits and colourful kilts, designs all of its clothing in the UK and uses ethically sourced natural fibres like Scottish cashmere, organic cotton, wool and linen to ensure its lines are both durable and biodegradable. Brora has also been carbon neutral since 2020, and currently invests in renewable energy projects in Mongolia, Maharashtra and Zambia.

TBCo

The colour and pattern-obsessed among us will no doubt already be familiar with this label and its vibrant clothing and homeware lines. TBCo was founded in 2014 with the goal to unite fashion and sustainability without compromising on style – and so far, the brand has done just that. TBCo secured its B Corp status back in 2023, and as part of its Positive Impact Pledge donates two percent of its profits to charities that protect the planet and give to those in need. The label has also partnered with mills around the world to create product ranges like its Recycled Wool collection, which help save wool garments from landfill.

Chloé

One of the first major design houses to nab B Corp certification is Chloé. The French label first certified in 2021through an 18-month effort to adopt lower-impact materials, use Fair Trade suppliers and improve its social responsibility. And, having successfully recertified in 2024, the label continues to prove that high fashion and low impact need not be mutually exclusive.

GANNI

This Copenhagen label is a cult hit for a reason. Fans of GANNI will wax poetic about the label’s affinity for oversized silhouettes, ballet flats and leopard print – as well as its proud Scandi heritage – but the label also goes leaps and bounds in giving back to people and planet. Building its messaging around transparency, ongoing learning, and a responsibility to do better, the brand now publishes a Responsibility Report each year to share its wins and challenges with its community.

Elvis & Kresse

Accessories label Elvis & Kresse is something of a veteran B Corp, having been certified for the first time back in 2015. The brand itself is built around a three-pillar model: rescuing materials (decommissioned fire hoses are a popular choice for its bags), transforming them into new products, and donating half of the associated profits to charity. Alongside creating its beautiful bags and travel accessories, the label’s main goal is to help solve environmental problems and ensure a circular flow of capital back into great causes.

Omnes

Creating quality fashion at accessible pricepoints, Omnes is a quiet gamechanger in the B Corp fashion scene. The brand, which certified in 2024, has guidelines in place to ensure its products are made from materials that carry globally recognised sustainability certifications – think FSC for viscose, GRS for recycled polyester, GOTS for organic cotton and RWS for wool – and is also a Climate Positive certified business. The style matches the substance too; Omnes is renowned for its slinky slip dresses, chic blouses and playful co-ords.

With Nothing Underneath

London-based, female-founded fashion label With Nothing Underneath (WNU) has been creating timeless shirts steeped in British heritage (and tailored for women) since 2017. The brand became officially B Corp certified in 2022, thanks to a series of in-house standards to put planet and people first – a focus on natural and certified materials (like Tencel), regular visits and audits of its fabric mills, a UK warehouse run on renewables, and a list of local and national charity partners who the brand have donated to over the years.

Stripe & Stare

For knickers with style and substance, it has to be Stripe & Stare. The female-founded brand’s range of underwear, bras and pyjamas are designed for style and comfort. Think bright colour, bold prints and a choice of knicker styles to suit all. Everything is also made from biodegradable TENCEL model fibres – which means you can pop your knickers on the compost when they’re no longer needed in the drawer.
