Curriculum

A broad curriculum in the lower school (years seven to eight), followed by a wide range of I/GCSEs in the main school. In the sixth form, students can take the IB or A levels.

Sport & The Arts

Haileybury empowers each child to follow their passions and build self-confidence. There is an abundance of cocurricular activities, from core sports cricket, hockey, netball and rugby to music, drama, scuba diving and beekeeping.

Pastoral Care

The bedrock of a Haileybury education is outstanding pastoral care. The heart of this is the boarding house system, with pupils staying with the same house from year nine through to sixth form. Pupils build bonds for life, sharing challenges and successes. Service plays a special role as part of the school’s philosophy to shape generous and compassionate individuals who are ready and willing to give back to society.

Exit Destinations

Seventy-seven percent of leavers choosing to study at UK universities go on to Russell Group institutions.

Head’s Philosophy

To provide a nurturing environment and spiritual encouragement, helping to shape the distinctive characteristics of Haileyburians. Our goal is for our young men and women to leave Haileybury fully equipped with the life skills and the academic credentials necessary for them to flourish in a competitive global employment market.
