Industry Season 4: Plot, Cast, Release Date & More

HBO revealed a fourth season of Industry was on its way in September 2024, after season 3 attracted 40 percent higher viewing figures compared to season 2.

‘For three seasons, Industry has been unflinching in its examination of ambition and class, solidifying itself as a marquee HBO drama,’ HBO’s Francesca Orsi. ‘Under Mickey [Down] and Konrad [Kay]’s singular vision, this twisted, thrilling look at London finance has redefined the contemporary workplace show. We’re so excited that viewers and critics have recognized season three as bigger and better than ever, buoyed by sublime performances from our unparalleled cast.’

‘We can’t wait to dive deeper and deliver the best season yet in season 4,’ Mickey and Konrad added.

What Will Happen?

With the finale seeing Harper hopping across the Atlantic, Industry season 4 may well call America home after three seasons predominantly set in London. ‘The whole coda sequence after Pierpoint is shuttered was crucial for pushing the characters into potentially new storylines,’ co show-runner Konrad Kay hinted.

With Robert (Harry Lawty) selling Little Labs’ microdosing business to folks in California – including investor Sir Henry Muck (Kit Harrington) – there’s plenty going on in America for Industry to explore, and it’s clear the creative team is aiming for the upcoming season to be larger and more ambitious than ever before.

When ELLE asked Mickey Down what’s in store, he replied: ‘As always – money and class. What else is there?’ Consider us told.

Industry Season 4 Cast

Myha’la, Marisa Abela, Kit Harington, Ken Leung, Sagar Radia and Miriam Petche will all return for Industry season 4, alongside six new cast members. They are: Kiernan Shipka, Jack Farthing, Toheeb Jimoh, Amy James-Kelly, Max Minghella and Stranger Things‘ Charlie Heaton.

They will enter the story in various places. Minghella will star as Whitney Halberstram, the CFO and founder of a payment processing company, Tender, entering a growth phase. He will be joined by Shipka who will star as an executive assistant at Tender, while Farthing joins the cast as the troublemaking long-time friend of Henry Muck (Kit Harington). Jimoh will star as a trader at Mostyn Asset Management while James-Kelly is a newly promoted Minister in the Labour government – so it’s not all stateside just yet.

What Happened To Harry Lawtey/Robert Spearing?

Harry Lawtey, who starred as Robert Spearing in the first three seasons of Industry, will not return for season 4, reportedly due to scheduling conflicts. This leaves a bit of a loose end for his character, who jumped from the sinking Pierpoint ship in the season 3 finale to pursue work on a psilocybin startup. While we originally thought this spelled more action in the US, it seems Rob’s journey will continue off-camera.
