You’ll be able to spot Lola, Ffern’s one-of-a-kind ice cream van, up and down the UK this summer
With the weather picking up and the sun starting to shine, it’s really starting to feel like summer in the UK. We can already picture those lazy days spent outdoors: sun cream slathered on, sunglasses at the ready and a slowly melting ice cream in hand. And, lucky for us, those days aren’t too far away – especially if Ffern’s travelling ice cream van has anything to say.
Meet Lola, Ffern’s Fragrance-Focused Ice Cream Van
When it comes to showing off their latest creations, brands are only getting more and more creative – and fragrance house Ffern is no different. The Somerset-based label is celebrating the arrival of its Summer 25 scent with the help of Lola, a supped-up vintage ice cream van. The roaming van, which plans to hit stops all over the UK, will give visitors an early chance to not only smell Ffern’s new fragrance, but taste it too.
So, what’s on the menu? Ffern has worked with Kitty Tavers of La Grotta Ices on a brand new sorbet, titled ‘Pink Sky At Night’. Combining white peach, Tarocco blood orange, Corsican pink grapefruit and a touch of marigold oil, the entirely plant-based sorbet mirrors the bright scent of Ffern’s new summer fragrance.
If you spot Lola on her travels, make sure to swing by; all visitors will be offered a complimentary sorbet and a sample of Ffern’s Summer 25 eau de parfum. The brand will also be hiding a golden ticket at each stop, which will give the winner an additional prize: Ffern’s Summer 25 Perfumer’s Candle.
Originally built in Britain in 1972, Lola has been lovingly restored by the Ffern team to make the road trip of a lifetime this summer. Now fitted with a new engine and electric add-ons – and dressed in a pretty sunset pink – she’s ready to drive through some of the UK biggest cities.
But before that, you can catch her in Ffern’s Summer 25 short film, Pink Sky At Night, alongside the likes of Eva Morgan, Forrest Campbell and Bill Nighy. Watch it below:
