RIXO Has Just Launched A Brand New Pre-Loved Platform – Here’s How To Use It

A new player has just entered the secondhand shopping game. London label RIXO is dipping its toe into the pre-loved scene with a brand new platform to help its community easily buy and sell its coveted designs. Intrigued? Here’s everything you need to know.
RIXO Pre-Loved: Everything You Need To Know
RIXO fan? This marketplace is for you. The label has just unveiled a brand new secondhand platform, RIXO Pre-Loved, where shoppers can bag their favourite RIXO pieces (and for a pretty sweet deal too).
The pre-loved platform – currently only available to UK shoppers – will offer a circular destination to help give RIXO creations a second home. Items will span shoppers’ pre-loved items, as well as exclusive, hand-picked pieces from the brand founders’ wardrobes. Each item listed will also be verified directly by the brand, ensuring that each investment is RIXO-backed and genuine.
‘Launching the RIXO Pre-Loved platform felt like the most natural next step for us,’ founders Henrietta Rix and Orlagh McCloskey told C&TH. ‘We’ve always believed in creating timeless pieces that can be worn and loved forever rather than following trends. From spending time with our customers, we know they love finding that special archived piece when shopping our pre-loved product in store, so wanted to extend this offering to those who can’t make it into our stores and love hunting for RIXO golden oldies. The platform gives our community a place to extend the life of their RIXO pieces and keep them circulating.
‘There’s more awareness around how we consume fashion, and we want to be part of that shift by offering a space where style and sustainability can truly meet,’ they added. ‘At RIXO we have a huge focus on making thoughtful changes that last. Launching Pre-Loved supports circular fashion, which is key to reducing waste. We want our clothes to have a long life, and this platform empowers our community to pass pieces on, rather than discard them.’
How It Works
RIXO’s pre-loved platform works just like any other. On the selling end, all you need to do is list your items (making note of their current condition) and, when sold, ship them off to the buyer.
‘Our #HumansOfRIXO can expect the same beautiful RIXO pieces they know and love, just with a story behind them,’ commented the brand’s founders. ‘Whether it’s a sold-out gem, a vintage treasure, or something from our wardrobe’s, our community can shop and sell with ease. You’ll be able to list your RIXO items in just a few clicks or browse curated Pre-Loved drops. It’s all about celebrating fashion that lasts and connecting our RIXO family in a new, meaningful way.’
The full experience will operate as follows:
- Upload your items via RIXO’s Pre-Loved platform (you can do it here).
- Once approved and sold, send your listed item using the prepaid shipping label provided.
- Get paid. Once the buyer has received your items, you’ll receive payment – either the resale value of the item of 110 percent of the value in store credit, which you can use to shop new RIXO items.
Speaking on the payment process, Rix and McCloskey added: ‘Once your Pre-Loved RIXO pieces have been received and quality-checked, you’ll receive your payment promptly. You can choose between two options: either the resale value paid directly to you, or 110 percent of that value as store credit to spend on brand-new RIXO pieces. It’s our way of rewarding circular fashion and giving something extra back to those helping extend the life of their pieces.’
