What Do We Know About The King’s Prime Video Documentary?

It’s all about the British monarch’s commitment to the planet
Charles III was known as Britain’s eco King long before he was crowned monarch. In fact, as early as 1969 the then-young Prince of Wales was petitioning Prime Minister Harold Wilson to limit the overfishing of salmon in Scotland’s rivers.
Ever since, the British King has been one of the planet’s loudest (and best positioned) advocates, launching the Sustainable Markets Initiative in 2020, reinvesting his wind farm profits, becoming a patron for the Campaign for Wool and championing more sustainable living in his personal life, including creating an organic garden at Highgrove as early as the ‘80s and converting his Aston Martin to run on bioethanol made from cheese and wine.
He calls this harmony: the idea that we should all see ourselves as part of nature, not apart from it. He even wrote a book about it back in 2010, Harmony: A New Way of Looking at Our World, outlining how architecture, agriculture and climate change were altering our relationship with the planet with the help of two environmental advisors, Tony Juniper and Ian Skelly.
And the same concept is now giving its name to a landmark documentary about the King, set to premiere on Prime Video in 2026 with help from the King’s own charity, The King’s Foundation. Here’s everything we know so far.
Everything We Know So Far About Finding Harmony: A King’s Vision
King Charles III is fronting a new documentary for Prime Video, charting his battle ‘to work with rather than against nature’.
The feature-length film, provisionally titled Finding Harmony: A King’s Vision and directed by Nicholas Brown, will feature archival footage from the King’s decades of campaigning for environmental causes – with hopes it will encourage others to make positive change.
The King has long been an advocate for our natural world, but as Brown points out, many people aren’t familiar with his efforts. ‘Remarkably few people around the world know the full depth of the King’s lifelong battle to bring nature and humanity into harmony,’ says Brown. And now, this ethos is being explored through a new medium…

What Is It About?
We’re told Finding Harmony: A King’s Vision will use a mixture of cinematography, interviews and storytelling to spin the true tale of how Charles’ philosophy of harmony is being applied to agriculture, architecture, textiles and town planning all over the world through his charity, The King’s Foundation, in places from Guyana to India. All of this will be narrated by British Oscar-winner Kate Winslet, after becoming an ambassador for The King’s Foundation earlier this year. The star describes the gig as ‘both pleasure and a privilege’ adding she ‘[shares] His Majesty’s passion for protecting our planet and building sustainable communities’.
‘I know audiences will learn, laugh, and feel inspired by what’s featured in the film, and I hope the impact of Harmony will be felt in years to come,’ Winslet adds.
The film will also hone in on the impressive work being done at The King’s Foundation’s HQ, Dumfries House in Ayrshire, Scotland, as well as Highgrove, the Gloucestershire estate which King Charles has spent years transforming into an organic garden. We will also get to see the King’s first harmony summit, which he hosted at Highgrove this July. Run in partnership with the Circular Bioeconomy Alliance and the Earth Elders, this brought together Indigenous leaders and practitioners who presented their perspectives on the state of the Earth.
‘Nature is our sustainer – we are a part of nature. Therefore, what we do to her, we do to ourselves,’ says the King. ‘Never has it been more important for the world to make a concerted effort to protect and prioritise our planet, and to restore our relationship with it.
‘It is therefore my fondest hope that this film may encourage a new audience to learn about the philosophy of Harmony – and perhaps inspire the same sense of determination it has given me to help build a more sustainable future,’ Charles adds.
It’s not the only documentary the King is working on. In June, Netflix revealed it was working with the British monarch and actor and activist Idris Elba to produce a new documentary to celebrate 50 years of The King’s Trust (formerly known as The Prince’s Trust), set to launch in autumn 2026. To mark the official announcement of Finding Harmony: A King’s Vision earlier this year, a new photograph of the King was released, showing Charles in a light suit, surrounded by greenery in Highgrove Gardens, during filming, which began in January 2025 at Dumfries House. Alongside the King, a number of famous faces will make cameos including David Beckham, who recently became an ambassador for The King’s Foundation.
Rather than scaremongering, Brown describes the film as a ‘story of hope and resilience’ which will leave viewers feeling ‘uplifted and motivated’. He adds: ‘The King’s philosophy offers something for everyone. Mostly, he shows us the power of resilience – and how following your intuition can transform the world.’
Courtenay Valenti, Head of Film for Amazon MGM Studios, says: ‘We are deeply honoured to bring His Majesty’s pioneering environmental philosophy to Prime Video audiences worldwide through this landmark documentary. Finding Harmony represents the culmination of The King’s lifelong dedication to sustainability and environmental stewardship.’
Release Date
Finding Harmony: A King’s Vision will premiere on Prime Video in early 2026, and be available in over 240 countries worldwide.
