Hotel Review: Six Senses Fiji
STAY
With 24 standalone pool villas scattered among palms, sandy paths and native gardens, the Six Senses Fiji feels more like a village than a resort. Each villa extends from indoor to outdoor: think living areas with bi-fold doors, teak decking, private plunge pools and stone soaking tubs sitting under the stars. The interior design is airy and minimal – neutral tones, island-sourced wood and organic textiles – backed by solar power and sustainably built structures.
For larger parties, the residences offer two to five bedrooms with private pools and kitchens that make this a real home-away-from-home option. In each villa, a dedicated Guest Experience Maker (read: a personal butler) ensures your space somehow feels bespoke yet perfectly easy.

Six Senses resorts are renowned for their spa, health and wellness offerings
DO
Six Senses Fiji is built for fixing the soul and feeding the spirit. Days begin with sunrise yoga on the lawn, followed by snorkelling in coral-rich reefs or catching waves at nearby surf breaks. Land-based activities include tennis, guided island hikes through Dry Forest Reserve, or village visits to learn about Fijian culture.
But the real reset happens at the spa – the kind of Six Senses spa the brand is famed for. Tucked among palms and shaded gardens, this is where things slow down. Guests can mix their own face masks and body scrubs with local botanicals from the garden alongside the resort’s in-house Alchemist, or book a session with the Ayurvedic doctor for non-invasive wellness screening that measures your key biomarkers and helps our experts understand what your body really needs. There’s also a full menu of treatments – hot lava shell massages, bamboo therapies, and herbal steams – alongside hot and cold plunge pools, a sauna and a steam room.
The resort also pulls sustainability into the guest experience: you can help plant coral, join a walk through the ‘green belt’ to spot the critically endangered Fijian crested iguana, or stop by Cluckingham Palace to see the on-site chickens.
And for the more sedate, there is always the option of doing nothing at all – and what a place to do it.

EAT
Dining at the Six Senses Fiji is intimate, ingredient-led, and framed by nature. At Tovolea, steps from the sand, the open-kitchen sends out eggs from Cluckingham Palace and honey from their own beehives, while lunch and dinner are casual affairs with pasta dishes, mud crab and delicious salads.
Rara meanwhile changes nightly, with a small set menu themed from Japan to Italy, all using local ingredients. Elsewhere Teitei serves delicious pizzas slid from a stone oven alongside family-style cinema nights.
For snacks and takeaway, the resort’s Deli supplies gluten-free wraps, smoothies and take-and-go bites, perfect for boat trips or beach days, alongside free ice cream daily and various groceries for guests staying in the residences who would like to cook their own meals.
THE FINAL WORD
Six Senses Fiji isn’t just about escape. The resort offers a space to pause, to reconnect, and to feel the value of what’s around you without distraction.
