Curriculum

With small class sizes and a high pupil-to-teacher ratio, the curriculum can be tailored to the needs of pupils often down to an individual level. The range of GCSEs and A levels allow pupils to pursue subjects in line with their personal and career interests, often with crossovers between the sciences, arts, languages and humanities. In 2025, 43 percent of GCSEs results were 9-7 and 39 percent of A level results were A*-A, with 85 percent A*-C.

Sport & The Arts

There is a rich programme of visual and performing arts, including drama, music, fine art, 3D design and textiles. A dedicated drama studio featured professional sound and lighting, and there is also a dance studio and music suite. In sport, the school offers a wide range of choices, with pupils engaging in more than four hours of physical activity per week using the school’s own and nearby specialist facilities. Sports include football, rugby, netball, athletics, cross-country, basketball, tennis, padel, badminton, boxing and fitness.

Pastoral Care

The school’s pastoral care is comprehensive and rooted in Christian values, with mutual respect and self-responsibility at its heart. An environment of trust means pupils listen and learn from one another, and a wellbeing programme emphasises personal development and the importance of forming healthy relationships. Values of compassion and respect are supported by responsive tutoring and a pastoral care team, helping pupils make good choices, learn self-responsibility and help them ‘navigate for life’ – the school’s ethos.

Exit Destinations

Leavers typically go on to Russell Group and leading universities including Bath, Birmingham, Cardiff, Essex, Exeter, Kingston, Manchester, Nottingham Trent, Sheffield, Surrey, Swansea, Goldsmiths, and City & Guilds Art School. Career choices include law, engineering, architecture, medicine and the creative arts.

Head’s Philosophy

To view each child as a story waiting to be told. We nurture their unique gifts and talents within a broad and flexible curriculum, with value placed on both academic achievement and life skills. This helps pupils find their purpose and prepares them to navigate life when they leave school.
