Intrigued by this week’s Hotel of the Week? It’s the perfect time to put your luck to the test, as C&TH is giving readers the opportunity to win an overnight stay there! Enter our competition now for the chance to win.
Set within the small hamlet of Madehurst, THE PIG, high up on the South Downs in West Sussex, comes complete with its own vineyard. The team have created a haven of rural bliss for this seventh hotel in THE PIG collection. Only four miles from the market town of Arundel, and a short drive to the yachting playground of Chichester, the Georgian house is a brilliant base for exploring – but also for hunkering down.
The 30 lovingly restored bedrooms are spread between a higgledy-piggledy collection of traditional brick, flint and timber clad stable yard buildings, together with Field and Garden Wagons. Each is unique and classically PIG – think indulgent fabrics, reclaimed wood, roll-top baths and locally-stocked larders full of goodies. The wagons, tucked away in the walled garden or in the fields, are super cosy with log burners.
As at other PIG hotels, you’ll find peaceful Potting Shed treatment rooms for massages and facials and terrific food, with a 25-Mile Menu. It’s simple British fare done well with a focus on hyper-local and homegrown produce – plus there’s a wide-ranging wine list to be sampled in the oval panelled bar and large kitchen garden.
As the winner of this competition, you’ll enjoy a three-course dinner for two from THE PIG-in the South Downs’ 25 mile menu, a bottle of wine chosen by a sommelier, a night in one of the hotel’s characterful bedrooms and a full Piggy breakfast the following morning.
Competition closes on 18 June 2026.
