The prize includes a two-night stay for up to two adults and two children with breakfast included, served in the 17 th century oak-beamed Castle View Restaurant boasting unrivalled views of the castle. Guests will also receive complimentary access to the breathtaking Castle and its magnificent grounds throughout the stay, which also includes access once all guests have left for the day.

Located near Maidstone, Kent, Leeds Castle’s Knights’ Retreat lodges, which opened in July, are stowed away within the Castle’s idyllic 500-acre grounds. The Knights’ Retreat lodges were inspired by thirteenth-century owner Queen Eleanor of Castile’s vision for a ‘Castle of Delights’. Each cosy lodge — including two designed with accessibility in mind — is fully equipped with modern comforts to ensure a relaxing stay. Accommodating up to four or five guests, the lodges feature open-plan kitchens with dining and lounge areas, ideal for cooking up a simple feast, unwinding, or enjoying games together. There is also a bathroom suite with shower, electricity via main sockets, wall-mounted smart television and Wi-Fi.

Each lodge also includes outdoor seating where guests can unwind and take in the sights and sounds of the wildlife that thrives across the Leeds Castle estate, from wildfowl to woodland birds. Named after mythical creatures such as the Basilisk, Minotaur, and Gryphon, these fairy-tale lodges provide the perfect base from which to explore the delights of the Leeds Castle estate. This includes the captivating Maze and underground Grotto, the Birds of Prey Centre, three thrilling play areas and multimedia tours, including the new 1930s immersive audio experience, ‘Invitation to Decadence’.
