Jamaica is where the Sandals Resorts brand originated in 1981, and there are now seven properties located around the island. Sandals Dunn’s River is the newest to the portfolio, opening in 2023 after a full refurbishment. It is located on a beautiful stretch of white-sand beach on the northern coast in Ocho Rios. Nestled in the heart of the Leeward Antilles is Sandals Royal Curaçao, which opened in 2022 in a brand-new destination for the brand. Sandals Royal Bahamian in Nassau, The Bahamas, has its own private island which was once a favourite hangout of the Duke and Duchess of Windsor.

In the Eastern Caribbean, the latest Sandals Resort to open is Sandals Saint Vincent and The Grenadines, which opened in 2024. Saint Vincent is less touristic than the other Caribbean islands and boasts stunning, dramatic mountains everywhere you look. There are three Sandals resorts in neighbouring Saint Lucia and guests staying at any one can use the amenities at all of these properties at no extra charge.
