Take a look inside
Dolly Parton, we will always love you. This year, the world bid a final farewell to the peroxide blonde starlet – who passed away on 25 August 2026, at the age of 80.
An all-American national treasure and music legend, Dolly Parton is best-known for her catchy country tunes and her instantly recognisable look. An icon of the industry, she sold more than 100 million records worldwide and has 11 Grammys to her name. She appeared in multiple films including 9 to 5 (1980), Steel Magnolias (1989) and Dumplin’ (2018), and is celebrated for her generous philanthropy work.
Though gone too soon, the ‘Jolene’ singer has left a rich legacy behind: from her chart-topping music and Dollywood theme park, to her extensive charity work and rich real estate portfolio. Despite all her do-gooding, at Parton’s level of success, she couldn’t help but compile an impressive list of homes. And now you can live in one of her former abodes – on the market for $7.95m. Take a look inside.

Dolly Parton and her late husband, Carl Dean, first purchased this Hollywood Hills property in 1985 for just $750,000. Staying there for just five years, the country singer sold it on in 1990 for $1.2m – making nearly £500,000 out of the lucrative property deal.
Today known as the Dolly Parton House, it’s unlikely Parton and Dean would recognise the property as it currently stands. It was rebuilt in 2009, and further upgraded in subsequent years. The current owner paid $2.05 million for the home in 2001, making this the first time the property has come to the market in 25 years.

Located in a private, gated community called The Bird Streets, Dolly Parton’s former home stretches to almost 4,700 sq ft. Decked out with voluminous ceilings, custom finishes and built-in furnishings, the four-bedroom house is certainly fit for a star. Positioned at the end of the cul-de-sac, the property enjoys panoramic views across Downtown LA and the Pacific Ocean – best appreciated from the glass walls of the living room and dining room that open out onto the terrace.
From the family room and kitchen, residents can access the pool, spa, and al fresco entertaining areas, complete with a breakfast bar and eating area, as well as a zen trail and garden. Inside, there’s a media room with surround sound and a library – a fitting homage to Dolly’s Imagination Library which donated more than 200 million books to children throughout her lifetime.
Upstairs sits the expansive primary suite, with its coffee bar, two bathrooms, steam shower, office/gym, walk-in closet, private deck and spa. Two additional bedrooms sits on this floor, each with private baths, while a further ensuite bedroom-slash-office is located on the ground floor and opens out to the garden. Plus there’s a two-car garage and the electrical infrastructure for an EV charger.

Where Did Dolly Parton Live?
By the time she passed, Dolly Parton had already sold and gifted most of the other properties in her portfolio – including her mountain cabin in Idyllwild, California, and her West Hollywood bungalow. Her primary property was her Willow Lake Plantation in Brentwood, Tennessee.
Parton and her husband acquired the 70-acre parcel in Brentwood in 1972 for $40,000, and went on to build a 23-room, 7,562 sq ft home on the site. In her 1994 memoir, Parton wrote that she and Dean built the house from scratch, with help from her brothers and uncle. Over the years, the couple expanded the property with a 5,619 sq ft guesthouse, multiple barns, gazebos, a swimming pool, tennis court and private chapel. They reportedly added an 80-by-30-ft barn in 2014 designed to match the estate’s other three barns.
On the market for $7,950,00. Find out more at leveragere.com and nourmand.com
