Brassic is one of Sky’s most successful original comedies of all time, and it’s about to return for a seventh (and final) season. Here’s everything we know so far about Brassic season 7, plus when we will get to see it.

What Will Happen?

Brassic is famed for its madness and mayhem, and season 7 won’t be any different. According to Sky, Vinnie (Joe Gilgun) and the gang will face their biggest challenge yet. Expect clashes with old enemies and confrontations with long-lost family, as well as chaos galore – naturally.

According to Sky, season 7 will ‘wrap up the iconic story in unforgettable Brassic style’. Watch the trailer below for a taste of the action.

The Cast

Our beloved core cast will return for Brassic season 7, including Joe Gilgun as Vinnie, Ryan Sampson as Tommo and Michelle Keegan as Erin.

They will be joined by Aaron Heffernan as Ashley, Parth Thakerar as JJ, Joanna Higson as Sugar, Steve Evets as Jim and Bhavna Limbachia as Meena.

While Brassic is drawing to a close, this is far from the final time we will see these now-familiar faces. Creator and lead star Gilgun has previously starred in everything from Preacher to Misfits and This Is England ‘90, while Keegan has a main role in BBC series Ten Pound Poms and recently gripped Netflix subscribers in Harlan Coben thriller Fool Me Once.

Meanwhile Sampson’s new original Sky comedy Mr Bigstuff starring himself and Danny Dyer is moving from strength to strength. ‘For years I’ve known that I wanted to do something a bit more than act in other people’s shows,’ Sampson recently told C&TH. ‘I wanted to make the show itself.’

Is It The Final Season?

It’s official: Brassic is drawing to a close. No eighth season is on the cards, with season 7 dubbed the ‘last wild ride’ by Sky. ‘When Joe Gilgun and I sat down to create Brassic, we couldn’t have imagined, in our wildest dreams, that we would do seven series and gather such a loyal and loving fan base,’ co-creator and series writer Danny Brocklehurst reflects. ‘It’s been a complete joy to create this eccentric world, but all good things must come to an end, and we want to stop while we are still riding high. Maybe they can finally give us that BAFTA!’

Since it first launched in 2019, Brassic has steadily gained a cult following, peaking in autumn 2024 when the first four seasons found a whole new audience on Netflix. As a Sky spokesperson put it, ‘Fans very quickly became attached to this dynamic group of friends, as they found unconventional ways to win at life in northern suburbia.’

The show has attracted critical acclaim, too, bagging awards at the RTS Craft & Design Awards, the Writers’ Guild of Great Britain Awards, the RTS North West Awards and the RTS Programme Awards. Co-writer and series star Joseph Gilgun has been nominated for a BAFTA TV Award for Male Performance in a Comedy Programme for Brassic four times, but has never won the trophy. Here’s hoping this final season seals the deal.

When Will More Brassic Land On Netflix?

Since September 2024, the first four seasons of Brassic have been available to stream on Netflix – but seasons 5 and 6 are still yet to be added to the streaming platform. Often broadcasters give their original series a long window of exclusivity before selling them on to streaming platforms like Netflix. Another example in Sky’s case is Gangs of London, or take a look at the high-profile deal between Netflix and Paramount for Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone series and its spin-offs.

When Brassic landed on Netflix, it had been two years since season 4 aired. If this is the exclusivity window Sky has settled on, we could see Brassic season 5 on Netflix as early as September 2025, and season 6 by September 2026.
