When Is The British Grand Prix 2026?

This year’s F1 Silverstone Grand Prix will take place between 2-5 July 2026.

Free practice takes place on Friday 3 July, qualifying on 4 July and the race on 5 July 2026.

How Can You Get Tickets?

Tickets to the British Grand Prix sell out fast, so booking well in advance is strongly advised. For 2026, official ticket categories include General Admission (the most affordable entry option), General Admission Plus (reserved viewing areas at select corners), Grandstands (reserved seats for all three days), Enclosures, and dedicated fan stands such as the Landostand. Child discounts are available on selected tickets.

Tickets for Silverstone 2026 are on sale now, with different categories released in phases across the year. Hospitality tickets and flagship fan‑stand experiences are already available, along with many general‑admission and grandstand options. What’s On The Lineup?

Silverstone’s 2026 F1 weekend promises a packed music and entertainment line‑up built around four nights of headline acts on the M&S Mainstage. David Guetta headlines the Thursday opening concert with his MONOLITH show, followed by Richard Ashcroft on Friday, Chase & Status on Saturday, and Rag’n’Bone Man closing the weekend on Sunday, each supported by further acts across the evening. Meanwhile, the T1 Afterparty at Turn 1 keeps the atmosphere electric late into the night with DJ and live sets from John Newman, Rudimental, Pendulum and MK running Thursday to Sunday, rounding out one of the busiest on‑site entertainment programmes in recent British Grand Prix history.

Which British Drivers Will Be On The Starting Grid?

For the 2026 F1 season, five British drivers are set to be on the starting grid: Lando Norris and Lewis Hamilton at McLaren and Ferrari respectively, George Russell at Mercedes, Oliver Bearman at Haas, and rookie Arvid Lindblad at Racing Bulls. That makes Silverstone’s home race especially exciting for fans, with more Brits on the grid than in any season since the early 2000s.

What Else Is Happening At Silverstone?

Across race weekend, there is a host of on-track action to enjoy. As well as the F1 practices, qualifying and race, there will also be F2, F3 and Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup races, plus other events to be announced.

The Fan Zone includes activities such as a wheel-changing pit-stop, reaction-testing Batak light wall and racing simulators, plus the chance to see the cars up close. The Family Zone has lots of child-friendly activities and rides, and there are food and drinks outlets across the site.

The Silverstone Official Afterparty will keep the site alive long after the cars have entered the pits for the last time (and the legendary Silverstone post-race traffic jams have died down), with renowned DJs hitting the decks and helping fans celebrate, or commiserate, whatever the outcome.

Hospitality Options

The British Grand Prix at Silverstone offers a range of hospitality packages to upgrade your race-day experience.

Silverstone introduces its most premium hospitality option for 2026, The Vale, a new tier of trackside hospitality designed around access, atmosphere and architectural detail. Located beside the paddock entrance, the space offers panoramic views over the pit entry and the circuit’s final corners — the most intense section of the lap. Inside, dining replaces the traditional hospitality model with Michelin-curated menus, a sommelier-led drinks programme and a series of curated DJ sets across the weekend. The setting is intended to remain intimate and private, with limited guest numbers and opportunities for direct interaction with figures from the racing and design worlds. When racing concludes, The Vale hosts small invitation-only evening events, with guests able to stay overnight at nearby Escapade Hotel or Nova Glamping, both located within the Silverstone circuit.

Elsewhere, the Fusion Lounge provides an all-day menu, free-flowing cocktails and Champagne, complemented by views of the final dash to the finish line from its extended outdoor terrace. There is also live entertainment and access to the Race Day After Party.

The Octane Terrace is situated at Hangar Straight’s DRS zone, offering amazing trackside views as well as celebrity-chef street food, racing simulators, and live DJ performances.

Families may want to check out The Racing Green, a family-friendly festival featuring artisan street food, an open bar, and a grandstand overlooking multiple corners, including Aintree and The Loop.

Can You Stay On Site?

There is the option to camp on site at Woodcote Fields (sold out) or upgrade to glamping at The Ridings (sold out).

The brand-new hotel Escapade is also sold out for this year’s race, but worth considering for the off-season or next year’s race. Guests of Escapade Silverstone can choose from 60 residences with over 180 ensuite bedrooms, with customisable layouts to cater to individual needs, ranging from 1-bedroom countryside options to 4-bedroom trackside residences. Prices start at £250 for countryside stays and £570 for trackside views off-season, but during the F1 weekend, prices range from £12,960 to £48,000.

There are also designated shuttle buses for nearby train stations and towns if you can find a hotel you like in Milton Keynes, Northampton, Towcester, Banbury, Oxford Parkway, Brackley or Buckingham.
