Following their Secret Sofa series which has enabled movie lovers across the UK to get their film fix through lockdown, the immersive storytelling specialists behind Secret Cinema have now launched ‘The Drive-In’, a brand-new cinema experience in which audiences can enjoy an array of big-screen movie classics from the comfort and safety of their cars.

Created in partnership with luxury ice cream brand Häagen-Dazs and taking place at renowned sporting ground Goodwood Motor Circuit, the exciting new series – which launched on Saturday 4th July with Formula 1 film Rush– is set to showcase a number of iconic films throughout the summer. Later screenings will include the likes of The Hunger Games, Pretty Woman, Star Wars and Moulin Rouge, whilst there will also be plenty for the little ones to enjoy, from Moana to Mary Poppins Returns

More than just your average drive-thru, audiences will also be introduced to the ‘wild and audacious’ Drive-In cinema owners, Frankie and Johnny Starlight, in which a pre-show online experience will detail all you need to know about the characters ahead of the screening, along with a dose of costume and car makeover inspiration.

There will also be waiters and a house team on hand serving up American diner-style cinema snacks including Goodwood organic produce, as well as delicious ice-cream desserts provided by the series’ headline partner Häagen-Dazs – featuring flavours unavailable to buy anywhere else in the UK.
