The city will be glittering with lights, markets will be popping up everywhere, and restaurants will be buzzing with groups of friends and families out for their annual shindig. The capital always delivers when it comes to festive menus – whether you’re after a traditional turkey roast or something alternative, from Indian to Middle Eastern. Festive Menus In London For 2025
Honey & Smoke, Fitzrovia
Known for its vibrant, sharing-style cooking, Honey & Smoke is ideal for big meals out with groups. Part of Sarit Packer and Itamar Srulovich’s popular Middle Eastern-inspired restaurant group, the Great Portland Street eatery features long tables seating up to 18 guests, with a fun, relaxed vibe. This year’s festive sharing menu includes an array of dishes cooked over live fire coals, kicking off with a selection of mezze for the table: think creamy hummus, spiced pumpkin falafel and aubergine rolls. Next, guests can tuck into sharing platters – choose between dishes like smoked duck with pickled cherries, mushroom shawarma, and bonfire sweet potato with smoked almonds and date molasses. You can add on festive drinks like the Pomegranate Spritz, a mix of cava, vodka, pomegranate and sumac – or opt for bespoke wine pairing.

The Guinea Grill, Mayfair
For a traditional pub experience with a luxe twist, head to Mayfair’s long-standing favourite The Guinea Grill. Tucked away down a quiet cobbled street, the gastropub has been around for over 600 years, and is renowned in particular for its steak offering. This December, though, it’s all about classic festive flavours: the five-course Christmas menu kicks off with apple and parsnip soup, ahead of mains like Norfolk turkey ballotine with all the trimmings, or wild mushroom wellington. Dessert is a classic Christmas or sticky toffee pudding, rounding off with some mince pies.

We’ve got just the place: The Greenhouses, a selection of glasshouse-style dining pods dotted within the grounds of the historic One Marylebone, decked out with winter foliage. The menu focuses on Middle Eastern flavours, with the festive edition featuring starters of crispy duck rice croquettes, harissa lamb cannon, oak smoked salmon parfait, and baked heritage squash. Perched on the Southbank and boasting unparalleled views of the River Thames, a meal at Sea Containers London always feels special. It’s the perfect place for an elevated yet not overly formal festive dinner with family or a group of friends, with a festive feast menu on offer for 2025. Diners can enjoy starters of burrata with winter tomatoes, or housed cured salmon ahead of mains of forest mushroom tortellini, whole Cornish seabass or the classic turkey roast with stuffing and pigs in blankets. Dessert is warm mince pies, apple crumble or Black Forest chocolate mousse. Fancy going all out? Glitzy Mayfair restaurant Ambassadors Clubhouse focuses on Punjab-inspired cuisine. With a lively atmosphere, it’s ideal for those looking for a fun Christmas night out, with a festive feast menu on offer for parties of six or more. This kicks off with a selection of papads, and duck chaat, ahead of seasonal mains such as suckling lamb raan, served with Kesari pilau, or Royal Atta Murgh (chicken slow-cooked in a rich korma-style sauce). Dessert is chocolate and peanut kheer – and party cocktails are blended with regional ingredients, then brought to the table in large pours. Alternatively, diners can opt for the slightly cheaper classic festive feast menu, which includes dishes like BBQ butter chicken chop and Matka Keema lamb curry.

The Clink, Brixton
A prison might not be the obvious choice for a Christmas dinner with friends – but hear us out. The Clink is one of London’s most interesting restaurants, housed within HMP Brixton, with all food cooked and served by people in prison, who are gaining skills during their sentences to give them a better chance of building a new future after release. The festive menu begins with starters like beetroot-cured sea trout, roasted pumpkin tartlet or duck rillettes, ahead of a traditional turkey roast or a vegan wild mushroom-stuffed hispi cabbage, alongside sides of rosemary roasties and Brussels sprouts with pancetta. For dessert, there’s pear and ginger stem pudding, bitter chocolate mousse or an artisan cheeseboard.

Dishoom, Multiple Locations
Spice up your Christmas dinner at Dishoom, the perennially popular modern Indian restaurant, which has multiple branches across the city. Its Christmas feasting menu includes a selection of Bombay-inspired festive specials: the main event is a turkey raan with all the trimmings, including tenderstem broccoli, chilli sprouts and spiced cranberry chutney. Can’t imagine a trip to Dishoom without tucking into some black daal? Fear not: it features too, alongside a number of other house classics, finishing off with a mince pie kulfi.

OMA, Borough Market
One of 2024’s biggest culinary openings was OMA, David Carter’s Greek restaurant in Borough Market. The festive menu here looks particularly delicious, served family-style in the wine annex, available to book exclusively for groups of seven to 30. It begins with Wildfarmed rolls with dips of babaganoush and labneh, followed by dishes like whole sea bass crudo, spanakopita, and red prawn giouvetsi with prawn head butter. Enjoy alongside Greek wines, and be sure to try one of the signature cocktails: the apricot sharpener, or the OMA negroni.

The Surprise
Nestled away in the backstreets of Chelsea, this charming pub is a lovely spot for a group dinner – with a private dining room available to book for up to 35 guests. The 2025 menu includes starters like lobster and prawn cocktail, and Ashdale beef carpaccio, followed by a traditional turkey crown with a generous selection of sides, mushroom gnocchi or Somerset lamb rump. End things in the best way: with a hearty sticky toffee pud, followed by mince pies for the table.
