London has one of the world’s most famous skylines, so it makes sense that lots of bars have popped up atop skyscrapers. Here, we’re spotlighting one of the best: Glasshouse, the rooftop bar that arrived on the top of NYX Hotel London Holborn back in 2022.

What To Expect At Glasshouse London

With its floor-to-ceiling glass windows, the bar offers impressive views of the capital – yet somehow it has remained a bit of a hidden gem on the capital’s rooftop scene. Located on the 10th floor of the hotel, the space has a retractable rooftop, meaning you can enjoy al fresco drinks on warmer evenings, and stay shielded during the winter. There’s plenty to admire indoors too, with eclectic decor and statement neon artworks lining the walls.

What’s On The Menu?

Cocktails are a highlight here: there’s an extensive menu featuring twists on classics. There’s the Cherry Espresso Martini, for instance, made with Dead Man’s finger cherry rum, cherry liqueur and Cascabel Coffee, plus the Glasshouse Sidecar, a blend of Courvoisier VSOP and Grand Marnier Cuvee Louise Alexandre. Other favourites include the Lychee Lover, a concoction of Belvedere vodka, The Botanist gin and lychee liqueur, and Grape Heights, which features Whitley Neill gin, Pommery Champagne, grape juice and lemon. Elsewhere, there’s a wide selection of tequila and mezcal, craft beers, and a selection of white, red and rose wines.

On the food front, there are a few bar snacks to choose from, including olives, smoked aubergine and mushroom, and boureka (filled pastry parcels) made with spiced lamb. Alternatively, you can go for the bottomless brunch offering, which includes two dishes: a main, such as braised beef tacos, or sweet waffles with crispy buttermilk chicken, followed by a dessert, like French brioche toast or pancake mille feuille. This is paired with unlimited fizz, Bloody Marys, Pornstar Martinis or NYX Iced Tea for 90 minutes.
