The hottest London tables to book this month
June 2025 was a big month for London’s foodie scene, with a new opening from the team behind cult favourite Bistro Freddie, Canal, alongside actor Theo James’ first foray into the restaurant world. So what’s on the cards for July? We’ve picked out the five top openings to have on your radar this month, including Adam Byatt’s latest culinary venture and a hotly anticipated pizza opening. These are London’s hottest restaurant openings for July 2025.
New London Restaurants: July 2025
1. The Riverside Hangout: Brasserie Constance, Fulham
Chef Adam Byatt earned his stripes in some of the city’s top kitchens like Claridge’s and The Berkeley before heading south to open Trinity, an unassuming neighbourhood eatery which soared to critical acclaim. For his latest venture he has veered west, opening a riverside spot called Brasserie Constance on the first floor of new development Fulham Riverside. It will showcase Byatt’s signature style of cooking: modern British with French influence, designed to spotlight the best seasonal produce. Diners can expect starters of potted duck with rosehip jelly, and smoked salmon served from the trolley, ahead of sharing dishes like clay pot chicken barley, crusted rack of lamb, and comfort food specials like pie and mash and toad in the hole. Tap into the buzziest drinks trend of 2025 by ordering a selection of miniature cocktails: the menu includes bite-sized martinis, negronis and G&Ts – or head to accompanying bar Flo for a curated wine list from Byatt’s son, sommelier Jack.

2. The Rooftop: Shanghai Me, Mayfair
After an impressive 18-year run, the Galvin Brothers’ rooftop restaurant atop London Hilton on Park Lane closed its doors in April. But this July, the space will be taken over by an exciting new launch from glossy Dubai favourite Shanghai Me. With 360 vistas of London, it would be worth a visit here for the views alone, but guests will also be treated to excellent Pan-Asian plates amid glamorous settings inspired by 1930s Shanghai. Signature dishes for the London branch include yellowtail carpaccio with black truffle, Cantonese style roast duck, spicy bluefin tuna and braised beef short rib. The bar area, Bund, will serve cocktails inspired by the Chinese zodiac, like the Monkey, a mix of banana, cacao, Cachaça and blue foam, plus snacks including sushi, sashimi and roast duck with foie gras and caviar.

3. The Cult Pizza Spot: ACE Pizza, Victoria Park
All London pizza lovers know the name Rachel Jones: the mastermind behind ACE Pizza. She began serving slices in a residency at Hackney pub The Pembury Tavern back in 2018, and quickly people were flocking there from far and wide to have a taste. And now, ACE is getting its very own bricks-and-mortar restaurant, down the road in Victoria Park. So what’s all the fuss about? Well, ACE has been dubbed ‘London-style’ pizza which pairs the chew of Neapolitan dough with the foldability of a New York slice, with dough slow-fermented for 48 hours to achieve that deliciously crispy crust. The space will feature nostalgic interiors reminiscent of retro ice cream parlours, with booth seating and wood panelling.

4. The Revamped Victorian Pub: Elephant Hackney, Clapton
The Elephant’s Head stood as one of Clapton’s most historic pubs for over 100 years, but this July it’s entering a new era. Rum Kitchen founder Stevie Thomas and former Manteca chef Francesco Sarvonio have spearheaded a reworking, transforming the space into Italian restaurant Elephant Hackney. Napoli-born Sarvonio draws on his heritage to create a menu of Neapolitan pizzas alongside dishes like ox cheek croquettes, grilled squid, mozzarella with tomato carpaccio, and seafood pasta. Crowd-pleasing cocktails will include spicy margs and espresso martinis, alongside beers including a custom ELEPHANT WALK Grolsch and brews from local taproom Five Points. It sounds like it will be a feast for the eyes as well as the tastebuds: David Shrigley prints line the walls alongside vintage Italian posters, and at the centre sits a 25-year-old skylight salvaged from a former East End cinema.

5. Luna, Shad Thames
Jay Patel, founder of Legare on Shad Thames, is launching a new concept just across the road: a wine bar called Luna. Sat directly opposite the restaurant, it will spotlight biodynamic wines, with a particular focus on old-world producers with organic principles. Alongside this, diners can enjoy food from Legare’s head chef Matt Beardmore – highlights will include oysters with galia melon and tomatillo, steak tartare, gilt-head bream with kaffir, and spring lamb cutlets with Greek yoghurt. ‘We are really proud of our little corner of the world in Shad Thames,’ said Patel. ‘It feels like there is a real resurgence in the area, and we are super excited to finally introduce our new wine bar to our loyal local customers who’ve supported us, and those who travel from across London and further afield to dine with us over the last five years at Legare.’
