Each summer, London comes alive with a fresh glow. Rooftop bars open their doors, parks fill up with picknickers and there’s a general sense of joy in the air. The city’s restaurants also come into their own during the warmer months, many hosting special dinners and residencies, and launching al fresco dining terraces. So what’s on the hot list for 2025? Here are the food and drink pop-ups to visit this summer in London.

Royal Ascot Afternoon Tea

Royal Ascot Afternoon Tea At The Cadogan, A Belmond Hotel

If you haven’t got tickets to Royal Ascot, but are keen for a taste, head to The Cadogan, A Belmond Hotel to try the afternoon tea being served ahead of this year’s event. Created by Benoit Blin, a pasty chef hailing from Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons, it adds French flair to the British tradition: begin with sandwiches and red pepper toasted tartine followed by scones, ending on a sweet note with pastries like a lemon and yuzu barquette, and peach and lavender apricot choux buns. Pair with a glass of fizz or some of the hotel’s own tea blend.

Open Seas’ #DivedNotDredged Event At The Duke Organic

Learn about the importance of responsible seafood sourcing over dinner at Britain’s first organic pub, The Duke Organic in Islington. Taking place to spotlight the #DivedNotDredged campaign created by conservation group Open Seas, the event will highlight how Scotland’s dive sector is leading the way in low-impact seafood through its scallop sourcing. You’ll be treated to seafood tapas while you watch a screening of The Orkney Dive short film, followed by a chance to speak to scallop divers, food sustainability experts and chefs.

Dante Takes Claridge’s

Esteemed New York bar Dante is making its way to this side of the pond for a month-long residency at Claridge’s Restaurant. Guests will be able to stop by for a daily Aperitivo Hour, with signature Dante drinks on offer including The Garibaldi, made with Campari and ‘fluffy’ orange juice, and the Chocolate Negroni Foundation, a mix of Botanist gin, Campari, crème de cacao and chocolate bitters. Food-wise, it’s all about American classics: think seafood towers, shrimp cocktails and New York strip on the bone, plus a weekend brunch featuring dishes like buttermilk pancakes and bacon.

The Langham’s 160th Anniversary

Founded in 1865, London stalwart The Langham celebrates its 160th anniversary this year. To celebrate, the hotel is marking its legacy with a series of suitably glamorous events. First up from 11 – 15 June, guests can stop by the lobby at 7.05pm each evening (AKA 18:65) for a glass of Taittinger. Later in the month, the Palm Court will introduce a commemorative afternoon tea featuring old-school favourites, restaurant The Wigmore is also introducing a limited-edition lobster roll, and Artesian bar has a special Purple Velvet cocktail on offer.

Food at the Soleil by Claude pop-up

Soleil by Claude at The Peninsula

This summer, the rooftop of The Peninsula hotel will be taken over by a new food concept, Soleil by Claude. Temporarily replacing Brooklands by Claude Bosi, the pop-up will bring a touch of laid-back Mediterranean charm to Belgravia, perfect for leisurely lunches while overlooking the city skyline. On the menu you’ll find a selection of suitably summery dishes: think decadent seafood platters, fresh pasta, flambeed sea bass, and seven-hour braised lamb shoulder, followed by Baked Alaska with just-picked fruits and cream for dessert. Pair with Minuty rose, alongside spritz cocktails.

Rick Stein at Fortnum & Mason

Rick Stein is known for his Cornish restaurants, but this summer Londoners will have a chance to try his seafood fare in the city. The chef has created a special menu of nostalgic dishes from his repertoire, along with his son Jack (chef director at Rick Stein Restaurants), available to try at Fortnum & Mason at the Royal Exchange. This includes one of his earliest recipes, classic fish soup, a shellfish plate from the ‘80s, and turbot hollandaise from the early ‘00s. Diners can opt for a three-course set menu, or select individual dishes to try, alongside regular Fortnum’s dishes from executive chef Julien Lanclume.

The Parakeet x The Unruly Pig

Kentish Town pub The Parakeet is joining forces with Suffolk’s acclaimed gastropub The Unruly Pig to host a four-hands dinner this June. Chefs Ben Allen and Dave Wall will be cooking a one-off eight-course dinner which combines The Parakeet’s wood-fired cooking style with The Unruly Pig’s nose-to-tail approach. The evening will kick off with oysters fried two ways: some with nduja, others with cucumber and pickled elderflower. Next up there will be starters like chicken fat sourdough focaccia, and smoked cods roe tart, ahead of the main event, a whole boned suckling pig. Dessert, meanwhile, will be a Madagascan vanilla panna cotta served with strawberries, with all dishes paired with English wines from vineyards like Danbury Ridge and Chalklands Classic.

Trullo at Harvey Nichols

One of London’s most beloved Italian restaurants, Islington’s Trullo is heading to Knightsbridge for a three-month summer food pop-up on the fifth floor of Harvey Nichols. Diners will be able to try long-standing favourites like the beef shin ragu and pici cacio e pepe, alongside suitably luxurious newbies, like tagliarini with Beluga caviar, grilled Dover sole with Palourde clams, and an Amalfi lemon tart for dessert. All this can be enjoyed alongside Italian wines, including Trullo’s own label Gavi and Chianti.

Jordon Ezra King at The Standard

Recipe developer and social media chef Jordon Ezra King is hosting a residency at King’s Cross hotel The Standard, London for three months. He’s taken over the menu at the hotel’s all-day restaurant, Isla, focusing on food from Italy and its neighbouring countries. Think snacks of crisp polenta, burrata and pizza fritta ahead of mains of braised lamb and orzo, calamarata pasta, and chicken milanese. Finish with a trio of desserts: honey and chamomile panna cotta, orange and almond cake, and a rich chocolate torte with amarena cherries. Alongside this, there will be cocktails from Campari, including a lemon and black pepper negroni, and a blood orange Campari bellini.

Side Hustle at NoMad London

Tacos with Friends at Side Hustle

Nestled away within the chic NoMad hotel in Covent Garden, Side Hustle is one of London’s best spots for Mexican food. And it’s set to get even more exciting over the next few months, thanks to a series of tacos created by VIP guests. First up in May is Michelin-starred chef Tomos Parry, ahead of actor Will Poulter in June, and Norwegian bartender Monica Berg in July, with more names to follow. Each special will be available throughout the month, with a portion of proceeds going towards London-based food charity City Harvest. Pair with a margarita for the perfect combination.

N25 Caviar: Dorian x Ynyshir

Two cult restaurants are joining forces for an exclusive dining experience: two Michelin-starred Ynyshir in Wales, and one Michelin-starred Dorian in Notting Hill. Hosted by N25 Caviar, the event will include a lunch and a dinner, cooked by the head chefs of the two eateries: Gareth Ward (Ynyshir) and Max Coen (Dorian). Each meal will kick off with a caviar masterclass ahead of dishes like langoustine rosti, Dover sole with sweetcorn chowder, T-bone steak and Ynyshir’s signature banana soft serve for dessert.

It’s Bagels at Selfridges

If you’re shopping at Selfridges over the next couple of weeks, be sure to grab lunch from the It’s Bagels pop-up. The New York favourite has arrived in store for a two-week residency, running in collaboration with fashion brand Coach. An It’s Bagels cart will be serving bagels with a Coach logo-branded wrap, alongside hot and iced coffee. Head to the Duke Street entrance to find it.

Teremana Tequila pop-up at The Folly

Teremana Tequila at The Folly

One for the tequila fans: The Rock’s award-winning brand, Teremana Tequila, is hosting a pop-up at City favourite The Folly. Enjoy drinks like The People’s Margarita, a mix of Teremana Blanco, Cointreau, lime juice and agave; the Mana Paloma, a refreshing serve topped with grapefruit soda; and the Kiwi & Spice, which has a kick of chilli. Alternatively, try them all with the Mini Mana Tray, which features three on-trend miniature cocktails.

Paris à Londres at Levan & Bar Levan

Enjoy a touch of Parisian charm in Peckham at the new residency series from Levan and its sister, Bar Levan. One Sunday each month from April to July, the restaurant and bar next door will host a selection of bistros from Paris: Minibar (27 April), La Verre Volé (18 May), Buttes Snack Bar (15 June) & Les Oeillets (20 July). Chefs from each will hop across the Channel to lead a lunch service at Levan, followed by an afterparty at Bar Levan. They’ll serve signature dishes and accompanying wines, alongside a handful of hero Levan dishes.
